Her flight out of Chicago O’Hare International Airport had been canceled twice due to weather. She told herself if the third flight was canceled, she would abandon her plans and go in the morning. WAKING UP GRATEFUL: PAIGE FARLEY-HACKEL’S GRATITUDE LIST Every day Paige Farley-Hackel wrote down five things for which she was grateful. According to her husband, Allan, this practice reflected her innate optimism. Paige, a native of Framingham, Mass., lived with herhusband in Newton.
