I’m very attracted to all things old right now. Houses, furniture, perennials, trees, clothes, and women writers. I’m looking to them in the hope they’ll share some secrets they know about how to beold.
CASE STUDIES
In one of our daily newspapers I read an article called “why isn’t disability visible in fashion?” As the article stated people with disability are severely under-represented, but I found it encouraging to read that there are designers who design collections for disabled people, who design clothes that make it easier to dress and also arestylish.
A TALE OF TWO INNOVATIONS I really appreciate this writing. I’m at new unfamiliar place in my life, since I recently retired and relocated to FL from NJ. It’s been very easy to settle into withdrawal mode, while I’m attempting to redefine my life and new found independence on my terms, but the world we currently live in makes me want to retreat to my safe place and be content to have a happy/safe existence. GOING UP OR GETTING OFF? When uncertainty and anxiety reach a critical mass in my mind, I take a time out and do some yoga. I just recently started, and it is helping immensely with getting back in synch, curbing anxiety, and making me feel as if, for that moment, I am where I am supposed to be. IF YOU LOVE DENIM JEANS YOU CAN LOVE BEING OLD: A ROSE I find it so interesting that while we endorse the idea that our denim jeans have a unique ability to gain character and value as they get older, fade and get used, we resist applying the same logic to the aging process of human beings. SHEDDING | ACCIDENTAL ICON Like everyone else I’m tired of winter, being bundled up and dressing in layers. It’s time to take some of them off. Whether it is those one or two pounds that you need to keep you warm or heavier makeup because you’re so pale; extra highlighter you need to make your dry skin a little brighter, I just want to shed it all like asnake.

Please do!!! This is an era lost to me, growing up with no mother and my grandmother disliked me, so I clung desperately to brief comments about a long gone perfume or a 1930’s fashion that seemed alien and wonderful to my childhood self.
