ANY BUTIA X JUBAEA HYBRID EXPERIENCE? Butia are popular down here, I have 2 small Butia in 5 gallon containers. The hybrid of these two seems to bring the jubaea’s increased size mixed with Butia attributes and appearance. It’s also much faster growing than Jubaea. Top. AL∞Σ. Seedling. SANSEVIERIA KIRKII 'SILVER BLUE' This cultivar named by Juan Chahinian is described as follows in his book The Splendid Sansevieria (pg. 78): "Also known as Sansevieria kirkii "Blue from Tanzania", this remarkable sansevieria is quite close to the type Sansevieria kirkii var. kirkii. The leaves, however, are proportionately shorter and wider as well as thicker. AGAVE TITANOTA HOW MANY TYPES? I just pulled about 100 leaves out of the top. Plant is still firmly rooted and has lots of good leaves, and I just drenched it with a systemic fungicide, in addition to spraying the top. ALOE MITRIFORMIS SSP. COMPTONII Flowers of all these forms are similar, forming a large capitate, very gemotrically and ornamentally arranged grouping, almost looking like fireworks of red to red-pink in late spring. Both this form and Aloe mitriformis are pretty slow-growing plants (compare to Aloe mitriformis spp. distans which is an aggressive, rapid grower). Soehrensia formosa in bloom after a hard winter (2013-2014) where we hit -13C (7F) twice, and 8F once. This particular selection is DJF175 purchased from from Mesa Garden as a beautiful small plant.Attachments.
ALOE BULBILLIFERA
This is a somewhat unusual Madagascan species that is fairly common in cultivation. It is a mostly solitary, stemless plant with a flattened or even drooping rosette about 3' in diameter, with soft, bendable leaves with large, pronounced teeth along the margins (almosty as WHAT IS IT IF NOT JAWS? The plant in the OP is most definitely Agave gentryi ‘Jaws’. They don’t offset prolifically but a few now and then can be expected. You can keep it in a pot for 10 years or more but without 10 hours of sunshine a day it will grow long and thin. The new leaves grip the core so tight they leave scratch marks when they unfurl. DRACAENA CINNABARI VS DRACO SEEDS QUESTION A year and 1/2 ago, I got a dozen Dracaena draco seeds, of which a couple germinated, and today I have 2 healthy seedlings growing nicely. I also later acquired 2 seedlings, which are doing fine too, but of course I like the ones I've been growing from seed the best. Aloe classenii cold damage 2-13.jpg. This Kenyan aloe is a suckering, low-growing plant with a creeping stem (not upright) and stiff, almost plastic-like leaves of bright green to burgundy depending on how much sun or water it gets. Flowers are reported brown, but my plant never flowered, and I kept missing the flowering at the botanical gardens.ALOE SUPRAFOLIATA
Aloe suprafoliata red flowers consist of solitary or slightly branched inflorescences about 2' to 3' tall at the most while Aloe pretoriensis, though having flowers nearly identical to Aloe suprafoliatas, are on tall, branching peduncles nearly 6' in height (spectacular). This is another one of my favorite aloes. It is a medium sized species from South Africa (about 18"-24" tall) with blue-green leaves that spread out, curve in, and often turn back out again near their tips. Moderately sized deltoid white teeth along the edges (not terribly sharp). Leaves are flexible and take some bending before snapping).SOEHRENSIA FORMOSA

ALOE CYRTOPHYLLA
Aloe cyrtophylla. This is a nice, smaller, suckering Madagascan species that is fairly hardy for such a location (down to 25F easily). Has nice scalloped leaves that arch downwards, or are straight if grown in shade. Leaves are stiff but can be bent a bit without breaking.
