GUNSHIPS - AIS.ORG
Gunships There were many pre-Vietnam gunship-like aircraft -- not only in the USA -- and even more helicopter during and after this war. I will concentrate here on USAF and USMC fixed-wing gunships, starting with the early '60s. TIER DRONES -- SUMMARY Tier 2 -- General Atomics 'Predator' Pentagon's joint service UAV, the General Atomics 'Predator', has a 44 hours endurance at up to 25,000 feet with a 450 lb. payload, including an SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar), and can survey up to 1,300 sq. nautical miles. US JOINT DESIGNATION SYSTEM I have tried to compile a complete list of the Rocket/Missile designations, including (theoretical) Booster, Probes and Satellites, used under the Joint Designations System by the DoD and its services, USAF / USN / USMC / US Army, from 1962 onwards.DORNIER DO 28
Dornier Do 28, Do 28A, Do 28A-1, Do 28B, Do 28B-1, Do 28B-2 Altogether, about 120 Do 28, Do 28A and Do 28B were built (c/n: 3xxx). The Do 28 was basically a two-engine version of the earlier Do 27 STOL aircraft series, which itself was based on the Do 25. THE AMATEUR COMPUTERIST HOMEPAGE The Amateur Computerist is a newsletter covering computers, the internet, netizens and the world they are imbedded in. The Amateur Computerist grew out of a battle against the cancellation in 1986 of computer programming classes for hourly workers at the Ford Motor Company Rouge Factory near Detroit Michigan USA. NATO CODE NAMES FOR SUBMARINES AND SHIPS Submarine Classes / Reporting Names The introduction and a lot of information is from Robin J. Lee (amraam@netcom.com) -- Thanks!. NATO used the standard phonetic letters to denote submarine classes, in no particular order (for instance, 'Alfa' appeared in 1969, well after'Whiskey' in 1951).

SOVIET RD&T AIRCRAFT Soviet RD&T aircraft When the US military or intelligence community identifies a new aircraft type by means of satellite photography or other sources, the aircraft is assigned a temporary code name, based on the location of the observation, and a sequence letter (from Athrough Z).
F-117 PILOTS
This is a list of all pilots (I am aware of) who were involved or flew the F-117 or its predecessor, the XST 'Have Blue' prototypes. Bandit Rank First_Name Initial. INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION PREFIXES This list contains all known International Registration Prefixes for aircraft, sorted by Country Name. The information in this list was colected from various books and publications, and many additional information was received from Rudi Longueville from Belgium, who's e-mail address I don't have, and Jos Stevens from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, who's e-mail address is: (stevens@nlr.nl).GUNSHIPS - AIS.ORG
