Job description . I work in a tissue lab. I am in charge of cultivating and passaging all cell lines, taking care of the tissue laboratory - orders, sterilization, media preparation. MOLECULAR MECHANISMS OF CELL CYCLE REGULATION The cell cycle progression is regulated by cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) in complex with cyclins. CDK/cyclin complexes must be kept inactive prior to mitosis in order to ensure appropriate timing of mitotic entry. Therefore the key decision about mitosis is done prior it. Z LABORATOŘE BUNĚČNÝCH CYKLŮ ŘAS Red mud is a by-product of alumina production containing lanthanides, valuable high-technology metals. Growth of green microalgae on red mud and the intracellular accumulation of lanthanides was tested to evaluate their potential as prospective vehicles for bio-mining or bio-leaching. The best growing species was Desmodesmus quadricauda, which also accumulated lanthanides to the highest level, if compared with Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and Parachlorella kessleri. See more►MÉDIA

A je skvělé, že na 2. místě je poster "Biostimulant and biopesticide activity of Chlorella sp. cultured in pilot scale" naší kolegyně Ing. Karolíny Ranglové.Skvělý úspěch. Její práce je součástí řešení projektu H2020 - SABANA.
PROF. KOMENDA ZÍSKAL GRANT VE VÝŠI 2,5 MIL. EUR Jak účinněji využívat sluneční energii a zvýšit pohlcování oxidu uhličitého na Zemi? S unikátním projektem PhotoRedesign přišel prof. Komenda z Mikrobiologického ústavu Akademie věd ČR. Na pracovišti v Třeboni pracuje se sinicemi, které využívá jako modelový organismus při zkoumání zásadního přírodního procesu – fotosyntézy. V prestižní soutěži o granty ERC Synergy dnes získal pro své pracoviště jednu z nejštědřejších podpor, které kdy český vědec získal: 2 500 000 eur. Čtěte více►Významné akce
LETNÍ ŠKOLA ALGATECH 2019 JE ZA NÁMI Dvanáct vybraných studentů z ČR, Maďarska, Kazachstánu, Nizozemí, Tuniska, Francie, Španělska a Itálie pracovalo po tři týdny v třeboňském Mikrobiologickém ústavu AV ČR – Centru Algatech pod dohledem našich tutorů na osmi projektech, jejichž závěrečné vyhodnocení proběhlo ve čtvrtek, 25. 7. 2019. Doufáme, že si všichni studenti odvezli mnoho nových poznatků týkajících se vědecké práce v našich laboratořích, které využijí nejen při dalším studiu. VELETRH VĚDY A VÝZKUMU OLOMOUC 2019 I na této akci jsme byli! Kolegové z Laboratoře řasových biotechnologií Mgr. Dominika Činčárová a Mgr. Antonín Střížek prezentovali Centrum na dalším ročníku Veletrhu vědy a výzkumu Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci. Akce se konala v pátek 7. a v sobotu 8. června. Prostřednictvím zábavných interaktivních experimentů, soutěží či představení návštěvníci poznávali rozličné aspekty každodenního využití vědy, vyzkoušet si je přišlo více než 3000 návštěvníků. „Věda v profesích“ – bylo motto letošního, již sedmého ročníku Festivalu vědy, který se konal na travnatých plochách před ČVUT u Vítězného náměstí v Praze 6.
