THE IMPORTANCE OF “MEANING” IN LIFE Meaning serves a number of important functions in human lives (Frankl, 1992). Firstly, meaning provides a purpose for our lives. Secondly, it furnishes values or standards by which to judge our actions. Thirdly, it gives us a sense of control over the events in our life. Lastly, it provides us with self-worth. STARTING BUT NOT FINISHING BEHAVIOR To start out excited and enthusiatic, spending money to get the project start or to start a class, but very soon after starting, lose interest very quickly. This has not happened one or two times, but all the time. Commiting to groups, committees etc, but after attending a few meeting, never going back. Also, never keeping in contact with OPPOSITE OF HOARDING Opposite of Hoarding. by: Anonymous. My 50 year old step-daughter is suffering from this disorder. She is also bipolar and hears voices. I came into her life when she was 18, but she never lived with me. She took on the role of the family watch guard, trying to make sure everyone else was "ok." WHAT IS CUTE AGGRESSION? The compulsion to squeeze, squish, pinch, eat, crush and bite cute things, without any actual desire to inflict or cause harm, is known as cute aggression.
