CHEMISTRY 1
A site for those interested in how the world works at the atomic level. Visit here for experiments and activities that demonstrate the amazing feats that atoms perform.COMPOUND WEB SITES
Compound WebSites. These sites were created as projects in Mr. Rushin's chemistry class. Objective: Research the structure, properties, history, and uses of a chemical compound and report the information in the form of a public website. Read the Whole Assignment. Note: These sites will have interactive 3-D models of thecompounds.
STUDENT PROJECTS
Student Projects. Note: When you select "Student's Work" from the navigation menu at left, you will actually be leaving the All Atoms server and going to a server on campus. Because of frequent restructurings (both on my part and the school's) all of the older student projects have links such as "Back to Main Navigation Page" that will be broken.RUSHIN'S BIO
Bio. For those inquiring minds, here it is in one page. I was born in Atlanta in 1964. I have two brothers (I'm in the middle). I grew up in Maryland and graduated from Gaithersburg High School in 1982. WATER PAGE - ALL ATOMS Synthesizing Water. The ubiquitous water molecule is often taken for granted, but its chemistry is extremely fascinating. I plan for this to be the first of several pages devoted to water and its ingredients; hydrogen and oxygen. ADVENTURES OF AN ALCHEMIST Adventures of an Alchemist. Synthesizing Water: (4 K) A. WEATHER BALLOON PAGE The Hydrogen Weather Balloon: The balloon we used was a 4 foot diameter weather balloon filled only with hydrogen. We decided not to premix because we had never used a balloon of this size.WATER BOTTLE PICS
Making Water in a Water Bottle : The explosion was very fast and very powerful. If you watch the video on a normal VCR, you do not see any flame (but you hear some great sound).
