Congratulations to the graduates of the Muslim Youth Leadership and Peer Mentoring Program. In partnership with Islamic Council of Victoria, the Australian Multicultural Foundation delivered the Australian Muslim Leadership and Peer Mentorship training program designed to challenge 16 young people to further their skills in advocating on issues important to their community. MANAGING CULTURAL DIVERSITY TRAINING PROGRAM Managing Cultural Diversity Training (MCD Training) aims to enable small and medium enterprises to better understand cultural diversity and how to manage it effectively to improve workplace relationships, teamwork, productivity, market knowledge, community relationships, customer service and AUSTRALIAN MULTICULTURAL FOUNDATION During the past three years, much was learnt by the service providers who delivered the projects and by the Scanlon Foundation. AN INTRODUCTORY RESOURCE MANUAL: ISLAM AND LIVING IN AUSTRALIA On Tuesday 29th October 2019, the Board of Imams Victoria, supported by the Australian Multicultural Foundation launched a a resource titled “An Introductory Resource Manual: Islam and Living in Australia”. The resource provides endorsed responses and talking points for religious leaders to specific topics which can often be misrepresented or misinterpreted. AMF ROUND TABLE FORUM On Friday 9th August 2019, the Australian Multicultural Foundation held a forum with a small, selected group of partner organizations and practitioners the AMF has enjoyed a working relationship with over the past 30 years. The free seminar will run from 5:30pm - 8:30pm on Wednesday 9th May and is open to teachers, service providers, and anyone working with Muslimcommunities.
SOUTH EAST ASIAN NETWORK OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGNISATIONS MEETING The Australian Multicultural Foundation attended a meeting with civil society organisations from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines for a day of developing a forward plan to build community resilience and establish connections. YOUNG WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT WEEKEND Addressing issues like mental health and community wellbeing, the impact of domestic violence, and how to foster greater participation and inclusion of women, eleven inspiring young women from Somali backgrounds came together for a weekend of workshops, networking andinnovation.

CYBERPARENT GUIDELINE The Australian Multicultural Foundation has developed a guide to help new users download and navigate CyberParent. The document also provides trainers and facilitators with a plan, tools and some tips on running a training session about CyberParent. Available in 7 languages: English, Arabic, Chinese, Dari, Somali, Turkish and Urdu CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADUATES OF THE MUSLIM YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND PEER MENTORING PROGRAM In partnership with Islamic Council of Victoria, the Australian Multicultural Foundation delivered the Australian Muslim Leadership and Peer Mentorship training program designed to challenge 16 young people to further their skills in advocating on issues important to their community. After completing program components from March - October this year, the young leaders attended a graduation ceremony on 13th November to celebrate their achievements. Congratulations to all! SUNSHINE PHOTO PROJECT To celebrate the launch of SBS’s new drama series, Sunshine, SBS partnered with the Centre for Contemporary Photography and Brimbank City Council to give eight aspiring photographers a chance to tell the story of their community through images. CHAMPIONS OF INNOVATION | DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COMMUNIQUE LAUNCH On 17 August 2017, ten of the twenty-three young participants from the 2016 Australian Youth Leadership Program: Champions of Innovation were selected to travel to Canberra and present a Communique on Domestic Violence at Parliament House. The Communique outlines four distinct areas to be addressed to empower young people from CALD backgrounds to deal with issues relating to domestic violence. YOUTH OFF THE STREETS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM On the 22nd of July the Australian Multicultural Foundation hosted the Youth Off The Streets Leadership Program with the New South Wales Government for a day of workshops, training and presentations to address key issues for young people in the community and fosterleadership skills.

AUSTRALIAN MUSLIM YOUTH LEADERSHIP AND PEER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM Australian Muslim Youth Leadership and Peer Mentorship Program jointly hosted by the Australian Multicultural Foundation and the Islamic Council of Victoria. OROMO COMMUNITY - YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM The Oromo Community Youth Leadership Program was a two-day leadership program for members of the Oromo community in Victoria, hosted by the Australian Multicultural Foundation and supported by the Scanlon Foundation. It took place at the Grange Macedon Ranges conference centre from 22-24 July. The aim of the program was to help participants build leadership skills to address specific issues affecting or arising in the Oromo community. To such ends, a series of workshops were hosted by Dr Hass Dellal, Lynn Cain, Simon Nette, Mishma Kumar, Dr Tania Miletic, as well as youth leaders. AUSTRALIAN YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM: CHAMPIONS OF INNOVATION The Australian Youth Leadership Program: Champions for Innovation forum took place from 23-25 May 2016 at Old Parliament House in Canberra. It was jointly hosted by the Australian Multicultural Foundation and the Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD), and supported by the Scanlon Foundation. It followed on from the Youth Leadership Program in November 2015, and brought together 23 young leaders to engage in a series of presentations and workshops aimed at building leadership capacity to champion policy innovation in an areaof common concern.

#todayimet brought together 20 students from 5 Melbourne schools. The project breaks down barriers of discrimination and promotes shared understanding through photography and storytelling.
