The Accompany Project started in the wake of the 2016 election. With hateful speech and actions on the rise, we asked a ACE TEAM — ARAB AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF NEW YORK Reem Ramadan was born and raised in Bahrain and is currently the Lead Organizer at the Arab American Association of New York. Reem leads advocacy and civic engagement efforts related to anti-Muslim bigotry, immigrant rights and police reform through campaigns and coalitionbuilding.

Lauren is a writer and organizer based in Queens, NY. While completing her degree in Creative Writing and Community Planning at the University of New Mexico, she co-founded the Albuquerque Aerialist Collective -- a group of performers, educators, athletes, and adventurers bringing aerial arts to the forefront of ABQ’s creativecommunity.

ADULT EDUCATION
Through our ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Civics & Naturalization test preparation programs AAANY helps hundreds of immigrants each year to become a part of American society - whether they’re taking the first steps of learning English or the final leap to becoming full US Citizens.SOCIAL SERVICES
Through our caseworker services, legal consultations, and limited legal support, AAANY works to bridge the gap between the Arab-American Community and New York’s benefits and legal systems, all free ofcharge.
ADVOCACY AND CIVIL ENGAGEMENT All Arab-Americans, whether they are recent immigrants or natural-born citizens, face discrimination in many forms in their day-to-day lives. Through our advocacy and civil engagement programs, AAANY fights for the civil rights of Arab-Americans in City Hall, Albany, andWashington DC.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
A community is only as strong as its youth. Through our youth engagement and development initiatives, AAANY works with youth from across New York to help support them in becoming confident, responsible, and active members of their communities. MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES In partnership with local organizations and hospitals, AAANY provides free mental health and education services to those in need across NewYork
