At about the midpoint of the May 29 Mass celebrating the priestly ordination, the five latest priests of the Diocese of Little Rock CHOIRS, HOLY WATER AND ALTAR SERVERS WILL RETURN APRIL 1 Part of the new protocols announced by Bishop Taylor allow holy water to again be restored to the fonts. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor announced modifications to the protocols for public Masses he announced in May. The letter to “the people of the Diocese of Little Rock” was released March 25. Changes will go into effect Holy Thursday, April 1. CONWAY ST. JOSEPH GRADUATE LIST St. Joseph High School held its graduation May 16 in the church. The speakers were valedictorian Caleb Mallett and salutatorian Eva Palmer. Co-valedictorians were Matthew Moix and Becka Buron. FATHER ESPOSITO DIED IN HIS PENNSYLVANIA HOMETOWN Father Ralph J. Esposito, who moved to Arkansas as a priest in the 1970s from Pennsylvania, died May 14. He was 80. He was born Oct. 22, 1940, in New Castle, Pa., to Stanley S. and Lucy A. Fleo Esposito. Fifteen Catholic school teachers, staff members and administrators were recognized in 2020 and 2021 for serving 25 and 50 years in Catholic schools. These honorees are usually recognized by the Catholic Schools Office during Professional Day, but no in-person events were held in 2020 and 2021. BISHOPS: PFIZER AND MODERNA VACCINES MORALLY ACCEPTABLE However, after Pfizer and Moderna announced their vaccines, at least two Catholic bishops warned against using them, saying they are morally tainted.
