ORDINARY INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP Ordinary membership of ARPQ is open to all current and prospective home owners in residential parks in Queensland. The annual fee is $15.00 per person. Members are entitled to all possible assistance in understanding their rights under legislation, setting up and running home owner associations and committees, and in dealing with disputes in a park including advice, letter writing, assistance with complaint procedure and submissions to the Tribunal. An online Membership Application formcan be submitted.
Open Online Application Form MAKING AN INFORMED CHOICE Over 50/55s Lifestyle Resorts built under the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act, are a great concept and can potentially offer some clear financial and lifestyle advantages over the limited alternatives available to many seniors. That is why around 35,000 Queenslanders have chosen to live in them. When buying a conventional house a high degree of caution is generally exercised simply because of the magnitude of the decision. Deciding to downsize from that conventional house and buy a Manufactured Home, is also a big decision and so at least the same amount of caution needs to be exercised. The first thing to realise is that owning a Manufactured Home is very different to owning a conventional house. Manufactured Homes are subject to their own unique legislation and any laws or contract procedures covering the real estate industry, which most people are aware of from owning a conventional house, do not apply. Also, there are traps you should be aware of which can be avoided if you are well informed. Contact us before you sign on the dotted line. We are dedicated in striking a FAIR BALANCE OF INTEREST between Park Owners and Home Owners. We will give you the facts and tell you the truth. You don’t deserve any less. ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP Association membership of ARPQ is for home owner associations fromindividual parks.
The annual membership fee is $75.00 per association. This provides the association and its committee with access to all the information and support available from ARPQ as per any other member. However, an association is deemed one body and is only entitled to one vote at any ARPQ meeting. That vote is cast by the nominated representative of the home owners association. If an individual home owner association member needs more personal assistance, that member is expected to join ARPQ as an individual member and pay the usual membership fee.
