RABBITS | BATTERSEA PARK CHILDREN'S ZOO In the wild they live in large social groups in underground burrows called a warren. Their long ears help to detect predators such as foxes & stoats. If they feel threatened they thump their large hind legs as a warning others. Rabbits are popular as pets and there are a huge variety of domestic breeds worldwide. Lifespan: 8-12 years incaptivity.
