THE CENTRAL WEST CYCLE TRAIL IS OPEN! The Central West Cycle Trail is Open! Jul 3, 2020. Last month, a group of volunteer bike riders celebrated finishing their task of riding and mapping out the Central West Cycle (CWC) Trail. The 400km CWC makes its way through the rolling landscape of woodlands and wheatlands of the Central West of NSW, the land of the indigenous Wiradjuri nation. EXPLORE BROKEN HILL AND SILVERTON BY BIKE The Albert Kersten Mining and Minerals Museum (GeoCentre) is an iconic stop in Broken Hill. They’re most known for their 42kg silver nugget. You can enjoy their displays of minerals, gems and historical items from Broken Hill’s mining history. With over 200 specimens on display, you’ll be able to see what Broken Hill has to offer and why AUXILIARY PLATES AND BIKE RACKS If driving with a bike rack on your vehicle that obscures your number plate, an auxiliary plate is needed. It is commonly thought that displaying a handwritten number plate is enough, however this is illegal. A clearly displayed handwritten number plate can still incur a fine and a loss of demerit points. Number plates and tail lightsneed to

As a bike is classified as a vehicle in NSW, it is illegal to use most mobile device functions while riding, this includes video calling, texting, emailing, social media, web browsing, taking photos etc. Doing so can result in a fine of $349, or $464 if detected in a school zone..
