ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, SPIRITS AND FOOD An alcoholic beverage is any drink, other than water, that has an alcohol content of more than 1.2% alcohol by volume (vol). Alcoholic beverages are food and generally follow the labelling rules for food summarised in the following guidance documents: 'Labelling of prepacked foods: general'. CONSUMER CONTRACTS: OFF-PREMISES SALES Most contracts made and negotiated between traders and consumers are covered, and the Regulations split these contracts into three types: off-premises contracts. There are four types of these contracts: 1. A contract made where a consumer and trader are together and agree the contract in a place that is not the trader's business premises - for FARM ANIMAL TRANSPORT JOURNEY TIMES after a maximum of nine hours travel, a rest period of at least one hour must be given. This is sufficient time for them to be given liquid and, if necessary, fed.
