Railroad Collection. In 2009 the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society (NRHS) gave a very generous donation of over 200 railroad books and other materials to Butler Public Library. The books and materials include information about (but are not limited to): Some items are available for check out while others do notcirculate.

Library trustees set the direction for our Library for how to best serve its patrons. To register for HISTORY OF THE VILLAGE OF BUTLER In 1911 the settlement of “New Butler” was established in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. The small community was settled mostly by railroad workers and their families and was incorporated as a village on May 5, 1913 with a population of 200. The small village grew steadily as the original developers and real estate speculators bought acres of FRIENDS | BUTLER PUBLIC LIBRARY Building for This Generation and for Those to Come.. The Friends of the Butler Library was started by a group who just wanted to help. In 1997, the Friends became incorporated and agreed to raise the funds necessary to buy land and build and equip a new and larger facility. The new library opened in December, 2008. Since then, the 2021 VIRTUAL ESCAPE ROOMS FOR TEENS Virtual Escape Rooms. The teen librarians in our library system have united to create a series of virtual escape rooms for teens this summer. If you are participating in our Teen Summer Reading Program, make sure to write down the secret code revealed upon completing the escape room.You’ll need to log that code in Beansta ck to complete the activity and receive points. The Friends seek to promote the library programs, resources and services available to the community. Our primary mission is to raise funds to help support and improve the library! Meetings are usually quarterly, more often if needed, for about an hour (typically on a Monday). The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your child starts kindergarten.
