Preparing to respond to emergency situations is an ongoing effort in BVSD. Recently, district leaders participated in a tabletop exercise to work through the district’s response to a hypothetical extreme weather event that developed unexpectedly after students arrived at school. Participants talked through how their various departments would manage the critical incident. Working through the response ahead of time and understanding how the departments of the district would work together and with local emergency personnel bolsters the district’s readiness to respond in a real situation. * Opens in New Window * Opens in New Window * Opens in New Window17 Jan 2020
