HOW TO: INSTALLING DOOR SPEAKERS 5. Connect the speaker to the wiring using the speaker harness. Connect the smaller flatter female end (of the wiring) to the smaller flatter male end on the speaker, and do the same of the larger fatter end. 6. Install the speaker in the door. BE SURE TO CVT TRANS TEMP LIGHT COMES ON The temp circuit is a red wire with a white band and you will find it in the round connector at the transmission. If you cut the wire the computer will show the trans temp at around -40 degrees. In my case a 150 ohm 1/2 watt resistor did the trick. You should check your actualtemp against what a
GAP ON THEIR SPARK PLUGS Caliber now cranks for a second or two first start in the am , but still starts instantly after the first start. Larger gaps do help with mpg. The reason the factory gaps the plugs at .040 is to allow the plugs to wear without needing to be replaced right away. Larger gap and APP5224 Autolite double platinum plugs do not automatically meanmore

Heres a list of problem codes and a brief explanation on how to read them. If you find any that are not on the list please feel free to pm me and ill add them. First Character: P=Powertrain B=Body C=Chasis U=Network Second Character: 0=generic WHAT SPARK PLUGS ARE BEST? I had to replace the stockers at 50000km as the manual suggests, and I got an extra .5mpg out of it I think. Engine seemed more responsive overall, seemed to have more power and ran smoother. I used Bosch Platinum Plus plugs at about $16cnd for all 4. G. HOW DO YOU BLEED THE CLUTCH ? 1 take the dust cap off the slave cylinder. 2 push the pedal to the floor. 3 place tube on dust cap and place brake fluid in tube and hold finger on tube. 4 raise foot from clutch. 5 let go of finger on dust cap. And repeat 15-20 times. Its hard to explain , but thats how youdo it . S.
HOW CAN YOU TELL IF CVT IS SLIPPING? My 07 started acting a little wierd tonite and i'm trying to rule things out before getting to the dealership. I have a fluid leak somewhere. I was told that it was an oil leak, but everytime I check it, the stick is always in the hash marks and is not really going down, i dont know how to check the tranny fluid (it was my assumption it can only be checked by the dealer). The task was a piece of cake, removed the old boot, and the outer end, then turned the wheels until I could get a pipe wrench on the old rod and it came right off. CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT?

TIMING BELT OR CHAIN? Hi, I'm the new owner of a 2007 Caliber and was wondering if it has a timing belt or chain. I've looked over the owners manuel and can't find anything. First step, to eliminate the switch or wiring BEFORE the wiper motor, would be to get a Voltmeter, disconnect the wiper motor and plug in the Positive wire of the voltmeter to the Wiper motor connector. Thefreshprinz. I have a 2008 Caliber SRT4 with 179,000 miles and I recently noticed the P0017 engine code a few weeks ago. Since then I have replaced all camshaft and crankshaft sensors, changed the oil viscosity, and cleared the codes multiple times. Even after all of this, the car will not rev past 4K rpm in any gear and it seems tofall off

Thefreshprinz. I have a 2008 Caliber SRT4 with 179,000 miles and I recently noticed the P0017 engine code a few weeks ago. Since then I have replaced all camshaft and crankshaft sensors, changed the oil viscosity, and cleared the codes multiple times. Even after all of this, the car will not rev past 4K rpm in any gear and it seems tofall off
CRUISE CONTROL ISSUES When trying to verify a speed control system electronic malfunction: Connect a scan tool if available to the data link connector. The connector is located near the steering column, and at lower edge of the dash panel. . A speed control malfunction may occur without a diagnostic code being indicated. WHAT SPARK PLUGS ARE BEST? I had to replace the stockers at 50000km as the manual suggests, and I got an extra .5mpg out of it I think.
