COLLECTION | CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF ART Cleveland (May 15, 2020) — The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) today announced that it has launched ArtLens for Slack, the first virtual art exhibition app designed specifically for remote workplaces. The free Slack app connects teams to the museum’s renowned collection and allows them to curate an exhibition unique to their company while enriching their workspace with art and culture.PARADE THE CITY
To coincide with the opening of the Community Arts Center, the CMA announces Parade the City. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on large public gatherings, the CMA has reimagined Parade the Circle 2021. Parade the City keeps the spirit of the annual event alive by pairing local artists with community groups to create celebratory art installations at community locations throughout STORIES FROM STORAGE Stories from Storage is free for CMA members; adults $12; seniors and adult groups $9; students and children ages 5 to 17 $6; children under 5 free.The exhibition is on view in the museum’s Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation Exhibition Hall and Gallery from February 7 to May16, 2021.

Heemskerck lived in Rome for four years (1532-36) and was deeply affected by the city's art and antiquities. Here, the half-length, seated figure, the tense yet elegant hands, and even the grotesque classical mask reflect the impact of that experience, while the love of meticulously represented textures is traditionally associated with northern European art. Arago was a student of Delaroche and painted genre, history, and landscape paintings.
