CASITAS | CLIFF RIVER SPRINGS—BEAUTIFUL CASITAS IN Casitas. Cliff River Springs' eight casitas each sleep between two & six people in an assortment of king, queen, full and twin beds. All have full kitchens and private bathrooms. Three have gas fireplaces. Our 2021 season runs from Feb. 20th to Nov. 15th. Because of Covid-19 we're reducing turnover by requiring stays of one week and longer.COVID-19 SAFELY
March 18th, 2020 was a sobering day. That was the day I closed Cliff River Springs for the entire rest of the year due to Covid-19. During the nine quiet months which followed members of my family from Los Angeles, Oakland, and Philadelphia sheltered in the casitas at various times for weeks or months. During this chapter I learned a lot about OUR LAND | CLIFF RIVER SPRINGS—BEAUTIFUL CASITAS INSEE MORE ON CLIFFRIVERSPRINGS.COM THE POND | CLIFF RIVER SPRINGS—BEAUTIFUL CASITAS IN The source of water for the pond is the Mother Spring, a steadily flowing natural spring located a half mile to the north. Rising along fault lines to emerge at the surface through vents, the Mother Spring travels. downhill through a buried pipe to “the valve” where it surfaces again into a open ditch, or acequia. FOOD | CLIFF RIVER SPRINGS—BEAUTIFUL CASITAS IN NORTHERN The best options for food shopping are Taos or Santa Fe – both about an hour away. (Contact us if you’d like the list.)A delightful destination that will meet some, if not many, of your needs, head to Bode’s on US 84 in Abiquiu (505-685-4422), a gorgeous half hour drive north along the Rio Chama. The closest store for gas, beer, and an assortment of goods is Oliver’s, five minutes away LOGISTICS | CLIFF RIVER SPRINGS—BEAUTIFUL CASITAS IN Arrival. Check in is between 3 and 5:30 pm. Please call 505-583-0002 if you need to arrive outside of those hours. OUR LAND | CLIFF RIVER SPRINGS—BEAUTIFUL CASITAS IN This 1.7 billion-year-old range is best climbed in the spring or fall, or early on a summer morning to beat the heat and avoid afternoon rains. Cross the river at our bridge, follow our cairns up the mesa, then angle toward the long southern ridge and follow it up. Some boulder-hopping required, but rest along the way and it’s completelydoable.

All of Cliff River Springs is a non-smoking, no open flames property. Guests will be fined $250 if found to have been smoking and/or lighting campfires on the property.
