HOW AN INITIATIVE GETS TO THE BALLOT You've probably encountered petitioners out gathering signatures for initiatives they hope to get on the ballot. But how much do you know about the process an initiative must go through before it can go before the voters? It's a complicated process, but the State of Colorado has resources online tha WHO’S MOVING INTO AND OUT OF COLORADO? According to a new report from the State Demography Office, “each year between 2011 and 2016 between 235,000 and 250,000 people moved into Colorado, and between 160,000 and 190,000 people moved out of Colorado.”That means our state’s population grows by about 60,000 to 75,000 people per year! The report also notes that most migrants, both into (41%) and out of (33%) Colorado, IF NOT NOW, THEN WHEN? STARTING YOUR EDI PROCESS Starting the journey toward building a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive organization can evoke a range of emotions. From being guilty you didn’t start this ages ago to feeling like you’re in over your head, it can be a scary and simultaneously exciting process. He also operated a toll road. Biography In 1836, Richens Lacy Wootton left his home in Mecklenburg County,Virginia. The truth is, the road toward a NEW TITLES IN THE BOOK CLUB RESOURCE COLLECTION Since August 2019, we have added around 200 titles to the Colorado Book Club Resource (BCR), bringing the total to over 450 titles, most of which contain at least eight copies of a book. Over the past year, we have intentionally sought out works by writers from minority backgrounds, as well as works 5 EARLY LEARNING LIBRARY TAKE AND MAKE KITS Hopefully you can save both with the 5 kits below. You will find supply lists and activities that are anchored with well-known books for curbside pick-up or through online subscriptions.
