Our online resources and community workshops are for all New Zealanders. However, we aim to give free one-on-one legal help to people who don’t have much money – for example, if you’re on a benefit or have a low income. We also aim to help vulnerable people – for example, if you’re struggling with housing or living withviolence.

Once you’ve identified all the property that the deceased owned, have gathered it in, and have also dealt with any debts, taxes and legal claims the deceased might have been responsible for, you can then distribute the property to the people who are entitled to it. However, we aim to give free one-on-one legal help to people who don’t have much money – for example, if you’re on a benefit or have a low income. VULNERABLE WORKERS: EXTRA PROTECTIONS IN INDUSTRIES LIKE Protections for cleaners, catering staff and others: Losing your job in a restructure. Employment Relations Act 2000, ss 69CA, 69I, Schedule 1A. Workers in specific industries where jobs are particularly vulnerable to restructuring have special protections against losing their jobs. HOW ACC PROCESSES THE CLAIM ACC ‘s service centre staff will make an initial decision about whether you’re covered. You’ll then get a letter telling you about this initial decision. The ACC service centre staff then decide what level of risk your claim involves. This will affect how they manage the claim from then on: no risk – Simple claims involving only medical fees are seen as “no-risk” cases and are paid WHEN YOU'RE COVERED BY ACC, AND WHEN YOU'RE NOT Overview. The vast majority of ACC claims are for physical injuries caused by accidents – like broken, fractured or dislocated bones, muscle tears and strains, lacerations (deep cuts or tears), and sprains.. Most claims involve an “accident” in the everyday sense of the term, like a car crash, or falling off a ladder at work or athome.

Once you’ve identified all the property that the deceased owned, have gathered it in, and have also dealt with any debts, taxes and legal claims the deceased might have been responsible for, you can then distribute the property to the people who are entitled to it. ALCOHOL: THE DRINK-DRIVING OFFENCES For being over the blood-alcohol limit, typical fines for a first offender work in the same way, but multiplied by five – for example, if your blood-alcohol level is 100 mg (10 mg over the limit), you’ll be fined $500, for 120 mg you’ll be fined $600, and so on. As well as the fine you’ll usually have to pay court costs. WHEN YOU CAN BE DEPORTED: GROUNDS FOR Immigration Act 2009, ss 155, 156, 158–161, 163. As the holder of a Resident Visa or a Permanent Resident Visa, you can be deported for the following reasons: Committing crimes – if you’re convicted, whether in New Zealand or another country, of committing a criminal offence, but only if. it’s an offence for which you could have been WHERE AND HOW YOU CAN WORK AS A SEX WORKER Working in a “brothel”. New Zealand’s sex work laws call any sex work business a “brothel”.
