Why a focus on ocean litter? The litter in our waterways and oceans is around 60-95% plastic which we know has a disastrous impact on the environment and the animals that call these places home. So, w e’re committed to reducing the amount of plastic litter entering our creeks, rivers and oceans. #SeaToSource focus es on 8 waterways which flow into The Great Southern Reef – a huge series ofBUSHFIRE RECOVERY
REVIVE - CONSERVATION VOLUNTEERS AUSTRALIA Because aquatic habitats can no longer take care of themselves on their own. Our goal is to engage communities to care deeply for their local aquatic habitats Water is the basis of all life on earth. With more than 85% of Australians living on the edge of our 25,000km coastline, and as a continent where THE CORPORATE CHALLENGE SERIES Make a difference together #ForNature through this online digital corporate innovation challenge, supported by Atlassian. Teams will work together to create solution to help increase the number of Australian’s actively participating in Citizen Science opportunities for biodiversity. Access to exclusive Citizen Science masterclasses and online guidance will be provided throughout the 4-hour COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM (CEP) With the support of local federal members of Parliament, CVA has engaged the community volunteers as future stewards in hundreds of environmental restoration, repair and replanting projects across Australia to help the revive local environment and build a stronger wild future for wildlife.GREENER CITIES

BREAKFAST CREEK CLEANUP Conservation Volunteers Australia in collaboration with local community groups and members conducted over 25 clean up events at key locations at Breakfast Creek in Brisbane, collecting marine debris and plastic pollution. RESTORING DUNDURRABIN: A WEEK IN THE RAINFOREST The Dundurrabin Project is funded by Boral, the National Bushfire Recovery Partner of CVA. Rosemary Yates has held a piece of paradise in Dundurrabin, Northern NSW, for more than 25 years now. Conservation Volunteers Australia were selected to coordinate the national environmental volunteering response to the bushfire crisis. From our experience in other disaster responses, we know that large numbers of people will contribute their time and skills to help with recovery over the many weeks, months and years ahead. OUR PEOPLE - CONSERVATION VOLUNTEERS AUSTRALIA Conservation Volunteers Australia respectfully acknowledges Traditional Owners and Indigenous Peoples, their rich and dynamic cultures and their continuing unique affinity and COMMUNITY ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM (CEP) With the support of local federal members of Parliament, CVA has engaged the community volunteers as future stewards in hundreds of environmental restoration, repair and replanting projects across Australia to help the revive local environment and build a stronger wild future for wildlife. WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY: CORPORATE PLANTING CHALLENGE Last Friday 4th June, we had 119 corporates across three locations swap out their morning meetings for a few quality hours with the natural world around them – as a part of CVA’s largest annual planting event, supported this year by ExxonMobil. Laptops were replaced with high vis vests and gloves, accompanied by a healthy dose of teamwork and rivalry as teams of five went head-to-head to PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION STATEMENT Conservation Volunteers Australia respectfully acknowledges Traditional Owners and Indigenous Peoples, their rich and dynamic cultures and their continuing unique affinity and EASTERN BARRED BANDICOOT Eastern Barred Bandicoot. Once common across Victoria’s volcanic plains and grasslands, the Eastern Barred Bandicoot (Perameles gunnii) mainland species is now one of Australia’s most endangered species and is considered extinct in the wild. Linked to the bandicoot’s decline is the use for farming and consequent loss of over 99% of its SAVING OUR FROGS: FRIENDS OF FREDDO Cadbury’s Marketing Manager, Katrina Watson says the Save The Frogs initiative is an appeal to Australians’ nostalgia for Freddo and passion for our native wildlife. “While children are curious, adventurous, and inherently passionate about the world around them, we tend to lose this adventurous spirit as we get older,” says Ms.Watson.
