The project has been so successful since implementation in 2016 that the company is registering another project. An additional 50,000 head of cattle will be registered as part of the projects SMRC RESOURCE RECOVERY PROJECT The SMRC Resource Recovery project generates compost quickly and efficiently while abating carbon dioxide-equivalent emissions. The resource that is generated from household waste adds nutrients to soils in the surrounding region. Instead of landfill waste, CARBON CREDIT OVERVIEW Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) are issued as either Kyoto ACCUs or non-Kyoto ACCUs. Kyoto ACCUs issued to a project proponent in relation to an eligible offsets project can be sold to the Commonwealth under a carbon abatement contract. International Environmental Trust backs Australian Soil Carbon System8 May 2019
The Grantham Environmental Trust has invested in AgriProve an Australian agricultural startup to commercialise soil carbon solutions that improve agricultural productivity while sequestering carbon and mitigating climate change.
