Protests of police abuse across the nation came home to roost in Cortland County, as did a response supporting police. A Colorado-based solar power developer hopes to build two side-by-side 5-megawatt solar power farms off Bell Crest Drive in Cortlandville, near St. Mary’s Cemetery. A representative of the developer met Tuesday for the first time with the Cortlandville Planning Board to begin the reviewprocess.

She has worked for either the village or the town of Homer for 40 years.
