We are thrilled to release our plans for the “UN”FAIR-21 and the 153rd edition of the Cowichan Exhibition. We are finding ways to bring our community together while safely staying apart as a way to honour the tradition of the Fair in the Cowichan Valley. COWICHAN EXHIBITION PICKLEBALL Drop-in is not an option. Maximum # of players per session is 42 (21 per cohort). Sessions are Monday to Friday, 10 am – 12:30 pm. Arrival & Game Play: Arrival – please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to program start. The “UN”FAIR-20. Welcome to the “UN”FAIR-20. Since we are not hosting the regular Cowichan Exhibition that we’ve come to know and love, we wanted to provide an alternate that would bring the community together while safely staying apart. The COVID-19 situation has been “UN”FAIR-20 for sure, but we still want to honour the ACTIVE IN AGRICULTURE Active In Agriculture. With farming embedded deeply in its roots, Cowichan Exhibition Park remains active in agricultural practices. Hay, Oats, Apples and Birds. There are 35 acres of grassy fields where a healthy hay crop is grown and baled once a year. The bales are mainly sold, but some are kept so we can assemble the hay maze that wehave

Building on our experiences from last year, the goal of “UN”FAIR-21 is to bring the community together again, while safely staying apart. ------------------------- COWICHAN EXHIBITION UPDATES: COVID-19. In the best interest of our community and our members, we have closed the Cowichan Exhibition Grounds until further notice. We ask for your patience and support as we monitor what is the best way to navigate this. We will reassess the conditions as they change daily. We have taken steps to ensure the safety of our members, volunteers, patrons and staff by sanitizing all touch points and adding additional sanitizing stations at the front of each room. We recognize that we are in a position to support the collective fight against COVID-19. Following guidance from public health authorities we understand that practicing social distancing and reducing dense public gatherings as much as possible is critically important at this time.
