CP Awareness Month. March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. CP Sport is celebrating its 20 th year anniversary in March 2021, coinciding with Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. ‘Twenty Miles This March’ is a new Facebook fundraising campaign created to mark the 20 th year of the charity and with the ambition to reach a new audience of fundraisers in support of the charities work, which is as NATIONAL SPORTS GOVERNING BODIES National Governing Bodies are the providers of sport specific opportunities from grass-roots participation to elite level. They provide the overall governance of a sport including support, leadership and direction, and coach and club development opportunities, as well as a sporting pathway. They provide the overall governance of a sport including support, leadership and direction, and coach and club development opportunities, as well as a sporting pathway. Multi-Sport Start. Cerebral Palsy Sport offer a great opportunity for everyone with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities to play and enjoy sport. We aim to raise self-esteem and help lead healthier, happier and more independent lives by giving the chance to regularly take part in sport. Multi-Sport Start days are delivered all over FOOTBALL – CEREBRAL PALSY SPORT Football. If you have cerebral palsy and love to play football, come and join Cerebral Palsy Sport at one of our football events or take part in regular CP specific sessions in your local area. Firstly, to allow activities to FRAME RUNNING FRAMES Frame Running was formerly known as RaceRunning and in 2021, the name officially changed to Frame Running. A Frame Runner is a three wheeled frame where the athlete is supported by a saddle and body plate. The athlete propels against the frame using their feet, and steers using the mobility within their hands and/or arms. SPORT ENGLAND OPENS CONSULTATION ON ITS NEW SPORTS Sport England opens its consultation process on a new sports strategy. The Government, led by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has recently published ‘Sporting Future: A new strategy for an Active Nation’. Sporting Future was based on a very recent and wide-ranging consultation carried out by the Government, and set out a EQUIPMENT & RESOURCES Equipment & Resources. To play Table Cricket, you need 12 players for a full game (six in each team), umpires, scorers and the following equipment: This consists of a table tennis table or equivalent surface area, approximately 153cm x 275cm, which is stable, safe and level.
