Inducted: 2003. At a very young age, Clarice “Dollie” McLean found herself enchanted. Living in New York, the arts were right at her fingertips and when she was just five, her aunt began taking her to see plays and performances. McLean fell in love with the power of dance and decided that she wanted to become a performer when she grewup.
EMELINE ROBERTS JONES In a career that spanned six decades, Emeline Roberts Jones received numerous awards and honors. In 1893, she served on the Woman’s Advisory Council of the World’s Columbian Dental Conference. She was elected to the Connecticut State Dental Society in 1883, and in 1914, she was made an honorary member of the National Dental Association.DOROTHY HAMILL
Shortly after Dorothy Hamill was born in Chicago in July 1956, her family relocated to Greenwich, Conn. It was here, at the age of 8, this American sweetheart would receive her first pair of ice skates as a Christmas gift and begin her journey toward becoming a figure skating champion and household name.LUCIA CHASE
