Defending Jacob – series review. Based on author William Landay’s 2012 novel of the same name, Apple TV+ miniseries Defending Jacob revolves around assistant district attorney Andy Barber, his wife, Laurie, and their teenage son, Jacob, who is accused of murdering one of his classmates, which completely upends the trio’s lives, turning the previously respected family into social pariahs STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Star Wars: The Last Jedi – an in-depth discussion. Now that my spoiler free review is out of the way and I’ve seen the movie twice, it’s time to talk more specifically about certain elements of The Last Jedi.Like the in-depth discussion of The Force Awakens I wrote around this time two years ago, the purpose of this post is not to repeat every point I made in my last article. THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE REVIEW There’s also plenty more singing and dancing to go along with Balfe’s background themes and while it’s unlikely any of the songs will linger in your mind as long as The Lego Movie ’s “Everything Is Awesome”, they’re all a lot of fun. STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Between January and the start of December, 2017, there were a total of four films that really resonated with me. I loved the way in which Logan wrapped up Hugh Jackman’s tremendous tenure as the irrepressible Wolverine; I was thrilled that Power Rangers turned out to be a terrifically deep and meaningful reinvention of somethingWONDER WOMAN
Boasting a brilliantly developed protagonist, fantastic acting from Gadot and Pine, stunning cinematography and one of the most invigorating superhero scores ever composed, Wonder Woman is a thoroughly entertaining theatrical escapade that’s sure to satisfy comic book aficionados and casual moviegoers alike. Rating: 8/10. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Guardians of the Galaxy is an entertaining cinematic romp and overall is good, but not quite excellent. The proceedings get off to an interesting start by focusing on the origins of Peter Quill, aka Star Lord. The pacing from start to finish is well maintained, with the plot progressing at a rate that feels neither rushed nor overly drawnout.
