KOFOD-LARSEN IB
Ib Kofod-Larsen, born in 1921 in Denmark, studied at the Danish Royal Academy in Copenhagen. In 1948, he won the Holmegaard glassware competition and the annual cabinetmakers’ guide. This is how the Danish furniture manufacturer Faarup the MøBelfabrik stands out. Kofod-Larsen creates some of his finest works for the Danish company, including the famous Model WHAT’S YOUR MAHOGANY ASSOCIATION NUMBER? The Mahogany Association label identifies your piece as being true mahogany, not another wood dyed to resemble mahogany. Each manufacturer in the association had its own unique number. Apparently 228 was the Mahogany Association number of 'Permo-weld Mastercraftsmen.'. Reply Quote. HELP INDENTIFY THIS CHAIR If you ever want to get the cushions redone to match the original thickness, you can still use the same covers--it's only the side boxing that needs to be cut down. Someone can just rip out the stitching on the top or bottom panel of the seat and back cushions, trim back the boxing, and reassemble. SANDED THROUGH VENEER Joined: 11 years ago. Posts: 19. 21/02/2017 1:12 am. I'm thinking of going two routes, 1. build up the sanded through veneer with a wax stick 2. touch it up with a touch up marker to blend it in with the rest of the wood. I'll be sure to post pics when completed, but it maytake some time.

After shifting stuff around I pretty much forgot about it. Recently I was looking through a Lama auctions catalog a friend let me borrow for the Max Palevsky auction and I noticed a desk by Lou Hodges that looked pretty similar to my table. You can see it in the link below on page 215 which is in the second to last dot. MODERNICA VS HERMAN MILLER. 02/04/2012 9:06 am. Modernica. I agree. The Modernica shells are every bit as good as the originals. The Vitra / Miller chairs look odd in that matte finish, and show sink marks where the "shock mount" has been integrated into the shell. This sideboard was manufactured in the UK by E-Gomme – G Plan in the 1960s. The piece is made from tola and features three drawers and three doors, which one of them is a drop-down drinks cabinet. SANDED THROUGH VENEER Joined: 11 years ago. Posts: 19. 21/02/2017 1:12 am. I'm thinking of going two routes, 1. build up the sanded through veneer with a wax stick 2. touch it up with a touch up marker to blend it in with the rest of the wood. I'll be sure to post pics when completed, but it maytake some time.

After shifting stuff around I pretty much forgot about it. Recently I was looking through a Lama auctions catalog a friend let me borrow for the Max Palevsky auction and I noticed a desk by Lou Hodges that looked pretty similar to my table. You can see it in the link below on page 215 which is in the second to last dot. MODERNICA VS HERMAN MILLER. 02/04/2012 9:06 am. Modernica. I agree. The Modernica shells are every bit as good as the originals. The Vitra / Miller chairs look odd in that matte finish, and show sink marks where the "shock mount" has been integrated into the shell. Ib Kofod-Larsen, born in 1921 in Denmark, studied at the Danish Royal Academy in Copenhagen. In 1948, he won the Holmegaard glassware competition and the annual cabinetmakers’ guide.
