The spring season here in Northern Baja has certainly had its share of stormy weather, often with northwest winds from 10 to 20 knots and local gusts to 25 knots combined with seas from 6 to 8 feet. RV AND MOTORHOME TRAVEL IN BAJA RV and Motorhome Travel in Baja. The Baja Peninsula is a popular destination for travelers with RVs and motorhomes. With the warm winter weather, beautiful beaches, delicious food, outdoor activities, and Mexican hospitality, Baja is a perfect spot for snowbirds and adventurous travelers. FEBRUARY 2021 BAJA FISHING REPORT February 2021 Baja Fishing Report . Over the past decades of writing Baja sportfishing reports, I don’t think one of my reports began with bluefin tuna catches and ended with them as well.. In the northern sector when weather permitted, locals and visitors alike targeted the schools of bluefin gathered offshore from Ensenada, Colonet, and San Quintín. BAJA ROAD CONDITIONS Baja Norte. Highway Mexico 5 is now paved all the way to Highway Mexico 1 and in good condition. The Mexico 1 toll road between Rosarito and Ensenada is currently under construction from around Km. 61-63 and again at Km. 95-98 around Salsipuedes. Drive slowly and with caution. Mexico 1 through Maneadero has many potholes. Expect to driveslowly.

The spring season here in Northern Baja has certainly had its share of stormy weather, often with northwest winds from 10 to 20 knots and local gusts to 25 knots combined with seas from 6 to 8 feet. Mexico 1 through Maneadero has many potholes. Expect to driveslowly.

When I first drove the entire length of Baja on Mex 1, and camped and fished various beaches, I never considered fishing from a boat. Admittedly, the fishing tackle in those early days was not designed for targeting larger fish. MEXICAN FISHING LICENSE MEXICAN FISHING LICENSE PRICES (for Discover Baja members): One Day: $17.68. One Week: $34.26. One Month: $43.89. One Year: $53.58. There is an extra $10 fee per license ($5 for daily license) if you are not a Discover Baja member. As of 2014, Temporary boat importation permits are required for any boat over 15 feet that is entering Baja. CONSERVATION PASSPORTS Conservation Passports. The Mexican Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP) governs the protected biospheres of Mexico and requires visitors who are in these areas for any recreational activities to purchase either a Biosphere Bracelet that is good for one day’s use, or an annual Conservation Passport, validfor one year.
