The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art is the place to hear America's stories through art and cultural objects. INDIAN MARKET & FESTIVAL 2021 June 14-28. The Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market & Festival, one of the nation’s top Native American art markets, is going all virtual in 2021. SUMMER UNDER THE SAILS What is it: Every Wednesday night this summer, visitors will enjoy live music starting at 6 p.m. at the Eiteljorg Museum.This live music concert series features a different fresh, fun, funky band each Wednesday in June and July and the best part is – it’s free, rainor shine!

HARD TWIST | EITELJORG MUSEUM | NATIVE AMERICAN ART | INDIANA What is it: A traveling exhibition from the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame called Hard Twist: Western Ranch Women – Photographs by Barbara Van Cleve will soon open at the Eiteljorg Museum on January 30, 2021. This exhibit includes 62 black and white photographs that celebrate women of the range, their ranches and the breathtaking Western landscapes in which they live. EITELJORG DONATION REQUEST A PDF of a letter, submitted via email, is acceptable. Due to volume and staff time required, follow-up phone inquiries cannot be returned. Requests should be submitted six weeks prior to the event. One request per organization will be honored per calendar year. The standard Eiteljorg donation is two adult admission passes ($26 value).JOIN OUR TEAM
The Collections department of the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art is seeking an intern from June 1, 2021 through August 6, 2021. EITELJORG STORY AND HISTORY How the Eiteljorg was Founded: Indianapolis businessman and philanthropist Harrison Eiteljorg and other civic leaders founded the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art.From the museum’s opening in 1989, its mission has been to inspire an appreciation and understanding of the art, history, and cultures of the American West and the Indigenous peoples of North America. INDIAN MARKET & FESTIVAL 2021 June 14-28. The Eiteljorg Museum Indian Market & Festival, one of the nation’s top Native American art markets, is going all virtual in 2021. The virtual market will run for two weeks in June and feature Native American artists from across the United States and Canada. EITELJORG HOURS, MAPS & PARKING This exhibition explores how the concept of humor, telling jokes, being light-hearted, and taking a less serious approach to life (especially during times that require or have required acts of resiliency), is central to many Native American groups. SUMMER UNDER THE SAILS What is it: Every Wednesday night this summer, visitors will enjoy live music starting at 6 p.m. at the Eiteljorg Museum.This live music concert series features a different fresh, fun, funky band each Wednesday in June and July and the best part is – it’s free, rainor shine!

The Stephen and Sharon Zimmerman Resource Center and the Watanabe Family Library offer learning opportunities for families, helpful resources for educators, students and researchers working on projects. The Eiteljorg Museum Café has scaled back its hours temporarily due to the pandemic. You’ll find a fresh and delicious selection of food prepared by our in-house chefs on the spot.
