Weekday mornings usually are at 7:00 am., and Sundays mornings and secular holidays are usually at 8:00 am. On some holidays and on Rosh Hodesh, morning minyan times may vary. Please check the synagogue website or call the office (860) 236-1275 to find the correct times. Morning minyan is followed by breakfast with the exception of Friday.EARLY CHILDHOOD
This interactive religious service for children ages 5 and under with caregiver, meets in our Early Childhood Center. The program concludes in the Main Sanctuary with Adon Olam on the bima followed by kiddush with the congregation. Tot Shabbat is free and open to all, as part of our monthly Programming for Kids and Families on Shabbat. Kobi Benita. Email. Kobi Benita joined The Emanuel Synagogue as Executive Director on June 1, 2020. A native Israeli, Kobi attained the rank of Captain serving in Special Forces for the IDF. He also served as the Vice Mayor of Ramat Yishay in Israel. He earned his BA from Haifa University and his MBA from the University of Dallas. CLERGY | THE EMANUEL SYNAGOGUE Email. Serving as The Emanuel Synagogue’s dynamic, caring, and supportive spiritual leader since 2002, Rabbi Small has more than 30 years experience as a rabbi. Rabbi Small shares his passion for Jewish life, Jewish values and spirituality with all ages. Rabbi Small is a gifted teacher; he excels in applying Jewish wisdom to contemporaryissues.

Daily Minyan The Meaning of Minyan ‘Minyan’ refers to: The daily prayer service AND the required quorum for the recitation of certain prayers. A quorum of ten or more Jewish adults (male and/or female), over the age of Bnai Mitzvah, are required for minyan.MINYONAIRES
Weekday mornings usually are at 7:00 am., and Sundays mornings and secular holidays are usually at 8:00 am. On some holidays and on Rosh Hodesh, morning minyan times may vary. Please check the synagogue website or call the office (860) 236-1275 to find the correct times. Morning minyan is followed by breakfast with the exception of Friday.EARLY CHILDHOOD
This interactive religious service for children ages 5 and under with caregiver, meets in our Early Childhood Center. The program concludes in the Main Sanctuary with Adon Olam on the bima followed by kiddush with the congregation. Tot Shabbat is free and open to all, as part of our monthly Programming for Kids and Families on Shabbat. OUR HISTORY
Our History. In 1919, a group of young men met to discuss the formation of a new synagogue in Hartford. They envisioned the establishment of a congregation prepared to accept modern interpretation of age-old ethics and observances while retaining the traditional spiritual beauty and appeal that for so long had been an integral part of their religious being.CELEBRATING SHABBAT
Celebrating Shabbat Friday Evening, Erev Shabbat. Every Friday evening minyan is held at sunset, participation is open to members and guests via Zoom.. Shabbat Babayit: A Shabbat Family Experience in your home is held every Friday at 5:30 pm. Join Rabbic Intern Jessica Dell’Era, Rabbi Small and Barbara Fink for songs, stories and blessings before Kabbalat Shabbat! OUR INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY Our Inclusive Community.
