WORLD CUISINE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY Persian Recipes. I have a large selection of delicious Persian recipes, including stews, rice dishes, appetizers and desserts. STRAWBERRY JAM WITH BALSAMIC VINEGAR In a large bowl mix together strawberries, lemon juice and sugar. Let strawberry mixture sit for at least 4 hours or up to overnight to macerate and release their juices. Transfer berry mixture to a pot and stir in balsamic vinegar. Slowly bring mixture to a boil YOGURT MARINATED LEG OF LAMB Place lamb in a large non-reactive pan. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients. Pour marinade over the lamb, covering all parts of the lamb entirely. Massage the marinade into the meat. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 24 hours. LEFTOVER PULLED PORK TACOS To make the avocado pico de gallo, combine the diced tomato, avocado, jalapeño, red onions and cilantro in a bowl. Stir in lime juice and salt. In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream and hot sauce. Use as much heat as you can handle! Heat up leftover pulled pork in THE BEST HOMEMADE OVEN BEEF JERKY Bake beef jerky for 1 hour, then turn oven off for 30 minutes. Bake again for 1 hour at 170ºF and continue this method of drying out the meat until beef jerky is dry to touch. Remove smaller pieces that are done and dry. When beef jerky is completely dry KOOBIDEH KABOB (PERSIAN GROUND BEEF KABOB) Long flat skewers work best with this kabob. Instructions. In a saucepan whisk together pomegranate juice, sugar (if using) and gelatin. Allow to sit for 5 minutes and then turn the heat to medium, whisking until it dissolves. Divide pomegranate mixture into 2-4 dessert bowls and allow mixture to sit until roomtemperature.
CHEESY CRAB STUFFED MUSHROOMS Grease a small baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside. Using a damp paper towel gently clean the mushrooms of any dirt or debris. In a small bowl, mix together crab meat, ¼ cup breadcrumbs, mozzarella, mustard, 2 TBS parmesan, parsley, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Stuff crab filling evenly among the mushroom caps. DUTCH OVEN CHICKEN CACCIATORE Remove the chicken to a serving dish and cover with foil. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the hot oil and sauté until vegetables soften, about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon dried basil, and fresh parsley, and cook for 2 minutes. Return the chicken to the pot, stir in the diced tomatoes and redwine.
ORZO PASTA SALAD WITH FETA AND SUN DRIED Add orzo to the boiling water and cook per package directions. While the orzo is cooking, mix olives, onions, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, basil and mint in a large serving bowl. When pasta is cooked, drain well in a colander and transfer to serving bowl. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients and toss gently and serve cold or at roomtemperature.
IRRESISTIBLE GRILLED ARTICHOKES WITH BALSAMIC VINEGAR Remove artichokes from the steam basket and allow to rest until cool enough to handle, about 10-15 minutes. Cut the artichokes in half, revealing the heart. Carefully remove the fuzz and small leaves from the inside of the artichokes, but keep the rest of the artichoke intact. In a large bowl whisk together 2 TBS olive oil with 1 TBSbalsamic
SHRIMP AND CRAB LOUIE SALAD (LOUIS SALAD) Instructions. In a small bowl whisk together mayonnaise, cocktail sauce, dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, chives, and salt. Set aside. On a large serving platter arrange the mixed salad greens. Top salad greens with shrimp, and lump crabmeat. Arrange hard boiled eggs and tomatoes decoratively around the salad. Top with the capers.
