THE POWER OF THE WORD Scripture is the word of God in the words of men. It reveals God’s will to us and can change our lives if we let it. It reveals a path to live by and gives us strength against evil. The gospel of Jesus is a message of good news, wonderful news that needs to be FEAST OF THE HOLY SPIRIT The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. It is the same Spirit that led Jesus into the desert, and it is the same spirit that Jesus sent on Pentecost to help us follow in His footsteps. The coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost offers an inspiring remedy to the problems anddivisiveness of
THE PARABLE OF THE VINE AND THE BRANCHES This love of God in its fulness resides in Christ, His only begotten Son, and flows from Him to us, like sap from the Vine to the Branches ( Gospel of John 15 : 5 ). Apart from Jesus, we can do nothing for He is our Vine, our source of God’s love, and we THE PARABLE OF THE SOWER —The Gospel of Matthew, chapter 13:1–23 Jesus was a master storyteller, and His most effective form of storytelling was indeed the parable. A parable can be described as a story with a religious message. In the parable of the sower, Jesus compares the word of God to seed which a farmer, who represents God, plants LEARNING TO FORGIVE. Perhaps the greatest hallmark of a Christian or anyone else for that matter is the ability to forgive. Letting go of an offense can be hard but holding on to it creates far more problems.
