2021 – ANOTHER YEAR OF STAYING CONNECTED Today, 4 March 2021, it is exactly one year ago that we did not meet in Barcelona. After long deliberations late in February, the Board and organizing programme committee decided to pull the plug and postpone the Technical Seminar. YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK PRODUCT DISCONTINUANCE NOTICE TESA® 7476 Product Discontinuance Notice tesa® 7476. Test tape tesa ® 7476 is used to test the silicone coating in the production of release paper and film materials according to FINAT FTM10. Due to new toxicological evaluations by the ECHA, a component of tesa® 7476 is being reclassified in terms of its hazardousness. BISPHENOL B PROPOSED AS SVHC The French Agency for Food, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) proposed to list Bisphenol B (BPB) as a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) under REACH because of endocrine disruption concerns. According to Anses, BPB is not manufactured in the EU, but it is included in articles manufactured outside the Union, namely theUS and China.

FINAT EVENTS & COMPETITIONS The European Label Forum (ELF) The FINAT European Label Forum (ELF), previously known as the FINAT Congress, takes place once a year, and is widely supported by the management of member companies of many different nationalities. Its programme spreads over three days, with the presentation of papers on a variety of topics relevant to theindustry.
