THIS IS THE BAD PLACE. fire-is-her-water: Leather & Lace Clothing Texture Mod for Dragon Age: Inquisition. With embossed leather, shiny hardware, and a warm, snuggly knitted lace scarf, your female Trevelyan Inquisitor can look fancy, practical, and comfortable all at once. Four replacements for these wardrobe outerwear outfits. I KEEP SEEING THIS FUCKING ARGUMENT ABOUT TRANS... I keep seeing this fucking argument about trans people using bathrooms like “Well if that had been an option for me back in the day I totally would’ve signed up as a ‘trans-whatever’ to get into the girls’ locker room back in high school” (Yeah, the fuckwit on FB I saw earlier actually said ‘trans-whatever’). A “BRIEF” GUIDE TO PREGNANCY, CHILDBIRTH, AND... A “Brief” Guide to Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Babies, for Fic Writers. This guide is intended as a quick reference and starting point for writing realistically about pregnancy, childbirth, andbabies.

It’s been sitting in limbo foreverrrrr. TIPS FROM A TEXAN ON STAYING COOL IN THE SUMMER HEAT WITHOUT AIRCONDITIONING:
fire-is-her-water
:
> KEEP YOUR HOUSE COOLER:>
> * Early in the morning, when the temperature is lowest, open up > everything - all windows and doors. If there’s not enough wind, > set up a couple fans - one blowing in, one blowing out - on opposite > sides of the house to vent the hot air out and bring in cooler air. > When the temperature indoors is the same as outdoors, close all > windows, doors, and curtains, and keep them closed! Treat your house > like a refrigerator or airlock - open it only as long as necessary > and close it again! Keep the cool air in! You can still have fans on > inside pointed at you. Only open everything up when the temperature > inside is the same or greater than outdoors. Again, do one fan > pointing in and one pointing out to keep air flowing.>
> * Cover your windows whenever they’re closed, and insulate them. > Thick curtains help a ton, but even a sheet tacked over the window > helps a lot - you can do multiple layers to help block the light and > heat. Close your curtains! Even when you open the windows, you can > keep the curtains mostly closed, just allowing some airflow but > still blocking most of the light. Sun pouring in through the windows > heats everything it touches - keep the sun out!>
> * You can also tape tinfoil over the windows shiny-side out to help > reflect some heat. Hardware stores also carry sheets of half-inch or > inch-thick insulating foam. It’s got foil already on one side to > reflect the light, and you can cut it with a steak knife if you need > to, to fit the inside of your windows. Easy to take up and put down > (cover the edges in duct tape if they’re crumbly) every day, and > the foam is cheap.>
> TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF:>
> * Take off your shirt. Wet it down, wring it out, put it back on. > Rewet when it dries. You can also wet your hair or put a wet towel > over your head. This supplements your own sweating to cool you down. > Even a small wet towel on the back of your neck can make a big > difference in how hot you feel.>
> * You can sleep under a towel or light blanket dampened the same> way.
>
> * Soak your feet in a bucket of cool water. You can use a big soup > pot, mixing bowl, or old baby bath - anything large enough to hold > your feet and some water.>
> * Fill a spray bottle with water, and spray yourself periodically.>
> * Point a fan at yourself *and* do some of the above (wet > shirt/towel, misting yourself) to cool yourself even further. A fan > does not need to be moving air in from the outside to help cool you > down - even warm air across wet skin will help you feel cooler.>
> * Large square “box fans” are great at pushing tons of air and > are often inexpensive compared to other designs. They may not be as > cute or easy to store, but you’ll appreciate the breeze when > it’s really hot.>
> * You can make a very basic “air conditioner” by putting a > large, shallow casserole-type dish full of water and ice in front of > a fan to help cool the air. This works best when the humidity is > low. Freezing an empty milk jug or soda bottle of water and blowing > the fan across the frozen container, or filling buckets with water > and ice and place in front of the fan can help cool the air without > adding humidity - put a towel or tray under to catch any > condensation. Google ‘swamp cooler diy’ for more ideas on how to> set this up.
>
> * If you start feeling overheated (lightheaded, sick to your > stomach, headache, throbbing ‘heartbeat’ feeling in your head), > take a shower in cool water. You don’t have to stay in very long > to cool your body down, and you’ll be damp, which will help > further with evaporative cooling. If you still feel bad after, > please get medical attention!>
> * The heat may make you feel less hungry. But keep some easy snacks > at hand - cucumber, grapes, apples, cut-up red/orange/yellow bell > pepper, cherries, carrot sticks, celery, watermelon, etc. - storing > them in the fridge will make them a nice refreshing snack (and you > can freeze grapes and snack on them too) and they’ll keep you fed > and hydrated without using the stove/oven.>
> * If you need a bigger meal but hate to heat the house with > cooking, make some pasta in the morning. Add cherry tomatoes, > cucumber cubes, peppers, etc., and a light sauce (lemon juice and > herbs are nice) and put it in the fridge to have a refreshing cold > pasta salad for dinner. Potatoes, quinoa, rice, lentils, chickpeas, > cucumber, etc.,can also be used as a base for a nice cold salad… > You can also make smoothies and call that a meal - add a handful of > oatmeal or wheat bran to help thicken it and make it feel more> substantial.
>
> * Fill an empty bottle half full of water and freeze it on its > side. When it’s frozen, open the bottle and add water to get > ice-cold water that stays cold for a while. Keep one or two freezing > while you’re drinking from another and always have cold water at> hand.
>
> * Fill a container of water and put it in the fridge to have > extra-cold water available.>
> * Keep a bottle of water with you at ALL TIMES and make sure > you’re refilling it at least twice a day. If you’re not used to > reading your own thirst signs, you can easily get dehydrated, so > make sure you’re drinking enough!>
> * Any (non-alcoholic) beverage helps you hydrate so if you can’t > stand plain water, coffee, tea, soda, juice, etc. all do help > hydrate you too, as do foods like watermelon, grapes, jello, and > popsicles - get water into you whatever way you can, even if it’s > not just by drinking water.>
> * Movie theaters, supermarkets, shopping malls, and the like are > often air conditioned. If you need a break from the heat it might be > worth going to see a movie or finding a bench in the mall to sit on> for a while.
>
> TAKING CARE OF OTHERS:>
> * Please remember your pets in the heat! Bring in outside dogs, as > doghouses can act like an oven, and a bit of shade can be > insufficient when temperatures climb. Make sure there’s LOTS of > clean, fresh water for them. You can add ice cubes to their bowl to > give them a cool drink, rub them down with a wet towel, or spray > them with water (they can’t sweat, but evaporative cooling still > works on them). When walking your dog, pavement can get *very* hot! > If you can’t hold the back of your hand to the pavement for 5 > seconds, it’s too hot for their feet! Cats should have access to > the coolest, shadiest room of the house and plenty of fresh water - > you *can* wet them down a little if it gets *really* hot but they > really don’t appreciate it. And if you’ve got heated aquariums, > double-check the temperature to make sure you’re not cooking your> fish.
>
> * Small children and the elderly may not be as good at reading > their own signs of thirst or heat, and need extra care in staying > cool and hydrated. Check in with elderly neighbors - see if they > need help putting foil on their windows, if they have enough fans, > and if they need any help staying cool.>
> * Outside plants that are not suited to strong heat and sun may > need moving under shade cloth or to a shaded location, and may need > additional water. If your plants are wilting, water them immediately > - don’t wait until the evening (the whole “if you water when > it’s hot they’ll cook/the sun will act like a lens with the > water droplets and burn the leaves” thing is a myth - you’re > better off watering in the morning or evening for water > conservation, as you lose less to evaporation, but if plants wilt > too much, they don’t come back). Check on plants in windowsills, > especially if you’re closing your curtains - you may be making an > oven between curtain and window and plants may need extra water or> to be moved.
>
> * Water usage during heat waves climbs dramatically. While many of > these solutions do use water, please try to conserve water wherever > possible so everyone has enough - put a watering can under your tap > while waiting for the water to heat to do dishes and then use that > water to water plants, take short showers, and only turn on the > sprinklers for your lawn in late evening if absolutely necessary and > not under water restrictions.* July 24, 2019
