Our mission is to honor and remember America's fallen fire heroes, to provide resources to assist their families in rebuilding their lives, and work within the Fire Service Community to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries. NFFF HONORS OUR NATION’S FALLEN HEROES: 50 FIRST RESPONDERS SUCCUMBTO COVID-19
First responders continue to be among the most vulnerable to contract the virus because of their proximity to new and unconfirmed cases. Regrettably, the death toll now includes the names of 50 fire and EMS Members (29 fire service personnel and 21 EMS personnel); and this COVID-19 Pandemic is far from over. ------------------------- 39TH ANNUAL NATIONAL FALLEN FIREFIGHTERS MEMORIAL WEEKENDOCTOBER 3-4, 2020
We, as a nation, find ourselves in an unprecedented time. As a result of this pandemic, every state in the nation is being faced with very tough decisions relative to business, travel, and especially social distancing. Many of you may be wondering how this will impact the 2020 National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend on October 3-4, 2020. At this time, no decision has been made. We need to ensure the safety of families, program participants and the general public. The Foundation is working closely with our local, state, national, and federal partners to make that determination. Once a decision has been made, we will send out an announcement nationwide. We will post the most up to date information on our website and social media platforms. UNITE WITH NFFF TO HELP FAMILIES & FIREFIGHTERS #Give2NFFFNow is a global time of generosity and unity, where we can come together and give back in response to the unprecedented need caused by the global pandemic. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation calls this special day #Give2NFFFNow . No matter whoever or wherever we are, #Give2NFFFNow is a time when we can make a positive change in the lives of firefighters and families of thefallen.
Together we can help families & firefighters #Give2NFFFNow ------------------------- SHINE YOUR LIGHT FOR FIREFIGHTERS On May 4, 2020, International Firefighters’ Day, we celebrated heroes and thanked them for all that they do to keep us safe. For the first time, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) encouraged communities to join us in celebrating and highlighting the great work firefighters do every day. For creative and compassionate kids (and adults) who want to let our firefighters know that we are grateful for everything they do, we invite you to draw, color, and share your thank you with the NFFF. #ShareAFirefighterThankYouWE ARE HERE FOR YOU
