ORANGE BEADED DAMSEL FLY An orange beaded damsel is a must-have streamer or wet fly for any fly fisherman fishing Australian lakes. Tied on a size 12 wet fly hook with an olive marabou tail, olive CDC body and fluoro orange bead it is a super quick fly to tie and is extremely effective on the water where trout regularly feed on damselfly nymphs. THE OUSE RIVER, TASMANIA. The Ouse River, Tasmania. Started working on this after my recent visit to Tasmania in February/March 2021. This Gorge of the Ouse we drove past on the way to Little Pine has always been on my mind since my first visit there in 1976. Finally got around to painting it WATERPROOF HIP PACK RECOMMENDATIONS For those interested or not, I ended up pulling the trigger on the OPST Rainforest Waterproof Waist Pack. Although it doesn’t come with some of the features of the more big name brands, it is waterproof and holds everything I want to carry. AUSTRALIA'S BEST TROUT FLIES Description. First published in 1997 and since reprinted, Australia’s Best Trout Flies details 168 trout fly patterns from 28 well known Australian fly fishers. Compiled by Malcolm Crosse and edited by Rob Sloane, with photography by David Roche, this book is a very entertaining read and FRESHWATER FLY LINE IN SALTWATER. YES OR NO? AndyS. Participant. G’day Bucky, There is no issue using Freshwater lines in saltwater, it does not effect the PVC in any way. The difference with Fresh and saltwater is usually based around the core and different climates they are used in. Generally saltwater lines are used in warmer climates therefore they have stiffer cores. Murray Cod Flies. Lake Mulwala in the predawn murk is an eerie place: dark blue, black and grey with little to see but an endless silhouette of dead trees as Cameron puts the boat – a flat-decked six-metre plate alloy monster – into the water. It’s cool and already a bitbreezy.

Perception -173 gr. Grand – 160 gr. Gold – 146 gr. Where it gets really interesting with the Perception is the first 20ft, which only come in at 92grain, which in effect is a little under-weight.
