About two weeks ago the rear end started making a chattering noise when turning right or left while driving in town. I had purchased an extra warrantee when I purchased the car about 6 months ago from a Forddealer.
SYNC 3 UPDATE ISSUES! HELP Discussion Starter · #1 · Apr 6, 2020. Hey y'all, I just bought a 16 150 platinum and so far i love it. I am on SYNC 3 version 1.0. Tried downloading the update from the ford website after registering and putting my vin in. Download it and i have tried extracting the files to the computer, extracting to the thumb stick, tried it in EXFAT like 351 WINDSOR HEADS ON A 302 BLOCK Also, the late model 302/351 heads have a larger water passage at the rear, which means the intake gaskets are different between early and late models. If you swap "real" '69-'76 351W heads onto a 302 you need to use the. 351W style intake manifold gaskets, as the 302 gaskets will leak water. at the unique 351W intake manifold water ports. 360 V8 | FORD FORUMS The Ford 360 isn't known for good gas mileage, but they have good. torque (pulling powr). I have a F100 1/2 ton, w/360, 2bbl. carb, AT. It's slim pickin's thats for sure. Curious though, if you'd be able to mount in a 4.6L if 5.4Ls are scarce in decent condition. Obviously that'll be a power loss downsizing the engine, but if it's an option, and a cheaper option that'll bolt up to the transmission without requiring a different bell housing, I know I'd consider it. 5W20 OR 5W30 THAT IS THE QUESTION Ford switched to 5w30 for all of the mod motors, and probably others, in the early 00's I think it was. In laymans terms 5w30 will prolong engine life but reduce power output (negligable) and 5w20 will shorten engine life but will free up more power (again, negligable). You probably blown your low beam bulb, pull the cover of the back of the head light and remove the bulb being carefull not to touch the glass part because it may not be blown, check to see the filament is stillintact.

The car swap was straightforward, just enough difference in block height (deck height) to cause the exhaust manifolds to mis-align with the dual exhaust pipes. It still burned the same amount at 233k when I sold it. Try running a a additive that slows down oil burning.390 OIL LEAK BLUES

First, after turning on my headlights, then turning them completely off, the headlights go off, but my front parking lights, tail lights and instrument lights stay on. REMOVING MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER well i just dropped my car off, its THEE best place, its alos the most expensive, lol there the only exuast place that say there pretty sure actually ''80%'' that the light wont come on, and there people are skilled, so im hoping that everything goes well, there going to remove all 4 of them, and put a 6foot pipe for both, and re-attach the sensors, it will be ready tommorow, cant wait!AWD/REAR END?

STUCK DISTRIBUTOR... HELP! Any ideas for unsticking a stuck distributor? Checking the timing for the first time since owning the car made me realize that the dist is stuck and will not rotate. I loosened the hold down bolt and bracket and they move around just fine but the distributor refuses to budge.What should I try

In cold climates a low number insures that the oil will flow freely and protect the engine until it reaches operation temp. 351 WINDSOR HEADS ON A 302 BLOCK I would suggest a set of 1969 or 1970 Ford 351 Windsor heads, they had bigger valves and runners, but 60cc chambers, i built up a 1988 mercury 302 non HO and the chambers where 63cc, i got best of both worlds, higher compression and more breathing power. if your going to build that 302 you should build it with 351w heads after they have been ported they do way more good than the clev. O/D LIGHT FLASHING ON AND OFF Anyone experiencing the OverDrive (O/D) light flashing on and off? When it's cold out, the O/D light flashes off and on when I'm just starting to get up to speed. The transmission seems to have problems shifting from a cold start then the light flashes. I have to put the truck in neutral and 3.55 AXLE RATIO AND TOWING Hi. Hello I am looking for a resource regarding BCM programming. In particular I have a 2013 model and would like to decode the programming of the BCM and possibly make some changes related to interior and exterior lighting. Kinda like a tune for a pcm I suppose. Anyone out there point me V10 - BLOWN OUT SPARK PLUGS I just got a 2000 motorhome on a 1999 Ford chassis with the V10 engine and just found out that they tend to blow the spark plugs right out of the head at about 20k miles because there are not enough threads holding the plugs in. 5.4 ENGINE SWAP
It's slim pickin's thats for sure. Curious though, if you'd be able to mount in a 4.6L if 5.4Ls are scarce in decent condition. Obviously that'll be a power loss downsizing the engine, but if it's an option, and a cheaper option that'll bolt up to the transmission without requiring a different bell housing, I know I'd consider it.BA COMPUTER RE-SET

I have an XR8 BA and just had the upgrade "flashed" into to the EEC and it stuffed up, after a week and a lot of angry words, and a new servicing dealer it was "deflashed" back to original. OIL IN SPARK PLUG WELL, BUT NOT ON ELECTRODE. WHERE FROM? Ford Crown Vic, Mercury Marauder, Grand Marquis I have a 1997 Grand Marquis. It had a misfire a few months ago in cylinder #5. I changed all plugs, and saw there was oil on the plug, above the seal. That is, it must have benn in the spark plug well. There was no oil on the threads, or the electrode.
