EXECUTIVE STAFF
Learn more about the Chief of Police and his Executive staff, consisting of an Executive Assistant Chief, 2 Assistant Chiefs, 5 Deputy Chiefs, a Fiscal Administrator, and a Police Assistant Director CHIEF OF POLICE ED KRAUS Chief Ed Kraus is a twenty-six year veteran of the Fort Worth Police Department, beginning his career in 1992. He has served as an officer, detective and sergeant in several units within the Patrol Bureau. His command experience includes assignments as a Neighborhood Policing District Lieutenant, a Patrol Division Captain, and commander of the Training Division. He has served in executive roles of Deputy Chief over the Investigative and Support Command, Assistant Chief over the Support Bureau, and Executive Assistant Chief over the Patrol Bureau. Chief Kraus earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Texas Tech University and his Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the FBI National Executive Institute, and the Caruth Police Institute’s Leadership Course. ASSISTANT CHIEF JULIE SWEARINGIN Assistant Chief Swearingin has been employed with the Fort Worth Police Department since 1995. She holds a Master Peace Officer License and a Police Instructor’s License from TCLEOSE (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education). She has Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, and is a graduate from the FBI National Academy. During her tenure with the Fort Worth Police Department, assignments include: Patrol, Gang, Training Academy, School Liaison, Detective office, Internal Affairs, Criminal Investigations, Special Victims Section, Chief’s Office, Special Investigation, Tactical Operations and Operational Command. In her tenure with the department she’s received multiple awards and recognition. She currently oversees the department's Finance/Personnel Bureau, consisting of the Training Division, Professional Standards Division, Program Support Division, Communications Division, and Quality Assurance. ASSISTANT CHIEF CHARLES RAMIREZ Assistant Chief Charles Ramirez joined the Fort Worth Police Department in 1991 and is currently assigned to the Support Bureau. Assistant Chief Ramirez earned his Bachelor’s degree Applied Arts and Sciences from Midwestern State University and his Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Louisville. He is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officer’s Course #111th and FBI National Academy #223rd. Assistant Chief Ramirez also attended PERF’s Senior Management Institute for Police. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy. ASSISTANT CHIEF ROBERT ALLDREDGE Assistant Chief Alldredge began his career with the Fort Worth Police Department in 1999. He has served as an officer, corporal, and sergeant in several units within the Patrol Bureau. His command experience includes assignments as a Patrol Shift lieutenant, CIU/NPO lieutenant, Tactical Operations Division captain, Professional Standards Division captain, and Central Patrol Division captain. His executive experience includes assignments in Tactical Command, North Command, and Operational Command. He currently oversees the Patrol Bureau. Assistant Chief Alldredge earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. He is a graduate of the 269th Session of the FBI National Academy, the Caruth Police Institute’s Executive Leadership Course, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. DEPUTY CHIEF TY HADSELL Deputy Chief Hadsell joined the Fort Worth Police Department in 1994. His has served as a patrol officer, detective, sergeant, lieutenant and captain in several different units throughout his career. He currently oversees the department's Tactical Command, consisting of the Tactical Operations Division, Tactical Investigations Division, Tactical Intelligence Division, and Fleet Services. DEPUTY CHIEF RENEE KAMPER Deputy Chief Kamper joined the Fort Worth Police Department in 1991 and has served as a patrol officer, detective, sergeant, lieutenant and captain in several different units throughout her career. She has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University, is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute, and the F.B.I. National Academy. She currently oversees the department's Investigative & Support Command. DEPUTY CHIEF MICHAEL SHEDD A veteran of the United States Army, Deputy Chief Michael Shedd started his career with the Fort Worth Police Department in 1995. He earned his BA in Chemistry and Russian from the University of Texas at Arlington, and his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. Deputy Chief Shedd is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute, the FBI-National Academy and holds a Master Peace Officers license. He currently oversees the department's South Command, consisting of the South Patrol Division, East Patrol Division, and Central Patrol Division. DEPUTY CHIEF NEIL NOAKES Deputy Chief Neil Noakes has been with the FWPD since 2000. He has served in multiple ranks across the department in areas such as Patrol, DWI, Motors, and Internal Affairs. He currently oversees South Command which consists of the Central, East, and South Patrol Divisions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration form Tarleton State University and his master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Texas Christian University (TCU). He is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s 137th Administrative Officers Course and TCU’s inaugural Leadership, Executive and Administrative Development program (L.E.A.D. #1). He also enjoys working with youth engagement programs such as Operation Progress, Read2Win, All Pro Dad and the City of Fort Worth’s Education Initiative. DEPUTY CHIEF JOSEPH SPARROW Deputy Chief Sparrow began his career with the Fort Worth Police Department in 1995. He has served in various ranks and positions including patrol officer, sex assault detective, patrol sergeant, NPD commander, Gang commander, School Resource commander, and was recently the commander of the Central Patrol Division. Deputy Chief Sparrow has earned both Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy in 2018. Deputy Chief Sparrow currently serves over North Command, which includes North, Northwest, West, and Traffic Divisions. ASSISTANT POLICE DIRECTOR CHRISTIANNE SIMMONS A Fort Worth native, Christianne Simmons has been with the Fort Worth Police Department since 2015. She currently oversees Fiscal Command, which consists of the Budget, Finance, Grants and Procurement and Contracts teams that create and manage the financial workflow of the department’s multimillion dollar budget. She has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Texas as well as a BA in Legal Studies and a BS in Marketing from Texas Woman’s University. She is an inaugural board member of the City of Fort Worth Young Professionals. ASSISTANT POLICE DIRECTOR LEO LUNA Assistant Police Director Leo Luna currently oversees the department's Personnel/Assets Command, consisting of the Program Support Division, Employment Services and the Centralized Police Payroll Team.INSIDE FWPD

PATROL COMMANDERS
Each Patrol Division has an appointed Commander, an Executive-level position responsible for each one of the six patrol divisions CENTRAL COMMANDER - CHAD MAHAFFEY Central Division encompasses a large, diverse area to include the Downtown Business Community, Hospital District, Texas Wesleyan University and many historic neighborhoods immediately surrounding these areas. Included in the boundaries are the major shelters for our homeless population. KEVIN HOOD, 22 YEARS OLD REPORT NO: 91528811 LOCATION: 2600 Quail Rd SYNOPSIS: On October 1, 1991, the body of Kevin Hood was found on the side of a road near Lake Arlington. He had apparently been robbed, and his vehicle had been stolen. It was later determined that he had been shot in the head. His vehicle was later found at a service station near the intersection of John T. White Road and E. Loop 820. Kevin Hood was an employee of the Fort Worth Independent School District. Email the FWPD Cold Case Unit STANLEY COHEN, 51 YEARS OLD REPORT NO: 02157448 LOCATION: 3401 Miller SYNOPSIS: On March 3, 2002, Stanley Cohen was found deceased inside his place of business, the S&S Auto Parts Store at 3401 Miller Avenue. The business had been ransacked and there were indications of a violent struggle. He died as a result of gunshot wounds. It was apparent that the crime took place shortly after the business had closed that Sunday afternoon. One of the trucks from the business had been stolen, and was later found in the parking lot of the Minyard’s Food Store at the intersection of E. Berry Street andMiller Avenue.

He died as a result of a gunshot wound. His gray Ford pick-up truck was parked nearby. His face had been sprayed with paint, and gang graffiti had been sprayed on histruck.

She never returned home. Her vehicle was found at the Hunter’s Ridge Apartments, 4850 River Ranch Rd. On January 5, 1985, Cindy Heller was found deceased in a ravine behind the TCU Physical Maintenance Plant. She had been strangled. She lived on Bellaire Dr in Fort Worth.
