FAVITES FRAGGING 101 Methodology: The method I use for fragging the majority of hard corals is primarily the same with the cutting tooling being an Inland band saw. Cooling liquid used is fresh mixed saltwater with enough iodine to color it a light amber. This helps to disinfect cuts as they're made which has shown to GONIOPORA FRAGGING 101 Methodology: The method I use for fragging the majority of hard corals is primarily the same with the cutting tooling being an Inland band saw. This helps to disinfect cuts as they're made which has shown to PECTINIA FRAGGING 101 It’s not often that I get a chance to cut into a pectinia due to the tendancy for them to look far better as a colony than as frags. Recently, I got the chance to slice into this gorgeous “Space Invader” pectinia, and I couldn’t miss the chance to film it foryou.
MUSHROOM (DISCOSOMA) FRAGGING 101 Methodology: For propagating mushrooms I use two different primary techniques one in the water and one out. In order to get them to split more rapidly, I use a clean razor blade to cut them, while in the home system, starting at the center of the mouth and working out towardsthe edge. This

For this I simply knock small sections off of the rock holding the GSP using a hammer and chisel. This technique may also be used with other soft, matting corals such as zoanthids, palythoas, xenia, anthelia and more. More star polyp information. IMG_0050 – FRAGGING 101 Visit the post for more.
