During the fall and spring term, interns at the Fund for Peace are asked to work 15-20 hours per week. During the summer term, interns work 30 hours per week at minimum. Pauline H. Baker served as President of The Fund for Peace for fifteen years from 1996 to 2010. Dr. Baker also served as a Professorial Lecturer at The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and as an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Foreign Affairs at Georgetown University. An internationally recognized political COUNTRY RISK AND FRAGILITY DATA Fund for Peace specializes in building early warning networks and systems in complex environments. Combining social science techniques with information technology, we have produced the patented Conflict Assessment System Tool (CAST), a content analysis software platform that provides a conceptual framework and a data gathering technique for measuring conflict risk. FRAGILE AND CONFLICT AFFECTED STATES Following the end of the Cold War, the Fund for Peace (FFP) began to pay closer attention to fragile and conflict-affected states. In many cases, various local and international stakeholders will seek to prevent or mitigate these risks and to provide assistance that can FRAGILE AND CONFLICT AFFECTED STATES Following the end of the Cold War, the Fund for Peace (FFP) began to pay closer attention to fragile and conflict-affected states. We appreciated that, while responding to the problems associated with these situations would be important, so too would be an analytical framework to help inform the operational and strategic decisions made by practitioners and policy-makers in a position to respond.
