Quill Christie-Peters is Gallery 44’s 2019-20 Writer-in-Residence. She is an Anishinaabe arts programmer and self-taught visual artist currently residing in Northwestern Ontario. She currently works as the Director of Education and Training for the Aboriginal Curatorial Collective where she is coordinating the Emerging Curatorial TrainingProgram.

I had never seen anything like it: sapphire blue parasols, dozens of them, studded along the shore like little gems, twinkling in alabaster sand, stretching on forever. Beneath each parasol was a chair, contorted every which way, and filthy from the sandy debris deposited by their previous occupants.VISITOR GUIDE
