PROJECT SERVICES
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENTS Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) has been instrumental in the grassroots development of shale oil and natural gas fields. We integrate seamlessly with your reservoir and production teams, to determine the ideal gathering and processing equipment configuration. Let us help customize your production path to bring the greatest return on investment, increase recoveries, and develop efficient and reproducible “plug and play” designs throughout your field.MAJOR PROJECTS
Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) is highly experienced in large gas, oil, and condensate processing and terminal facilities throughout Western Canada and internationally. Our full EPCM service offering includes project management, engineering, drafting, procurement, construction management, and regulatory services, backed by one of the most comprehensive project reporting systems in the industry.SMALL PROJECTS
Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) has a renowned small projects group, known for highly cost effective and efficient project executions, leveraging GLE’s 30 years in the industry. Experienced in wellsites, pipelines, compressor stations, truck terminals, oil batteries, and facility retrofits, we will turn your project into an on-budget and on-time reality. You can find more information on our Small Projects page. Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) is a privately owned engineering firm providing engineering excellence from our Calgary, Alberta offices since 1987. Occupying over 85000 square feet in our two corporate buildings, GLE is comprised of over 240 engineers, designers, consultants, and administrators serving both the Canadian and International EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management) markets. In addition to general oil and gas project engineering and management services, GLE has recognized niche strengths in refrigeration, gas processing, liquids fractionation, amine sweetening and acid gas injection. We provide highly flexible engineering services that are truly customized to meet the specific needs of each client. GLE’s founders include Doug MacKenzie, Jim Maddocks, and Arnie Toews, who started the company in 1987. At that time, the three of them already averaged more than a decade of experience in oil and gas and industrial construction, equipment design, drafting, shop fabrication and field construction. They had already built facilities and published technical papers on MDEA sweetening and the use of mixed refrigerants in gas plant liquids production (see our PUBLICATIONS page). Their experience included some of the very first designs and uses of modularized process packages to reduce site-built construction costs, including packaged refrigeration and amine plants. Many of these facilities are still in use today, 30 years later, with the designs often referenced as standard industry designs. On this foundation of corporate knowledge, GLE has steadily grown and provided engineering services on hundreds of gas and liquids processing facilities ranging from the very small, up to 1 BCFD and 58,000 bbl/day. We are proud of our heritage in the industry as Canada’s most experienced privately-owned gas and liquids facilities engineering services provider, and we are also proud to offer our specialty services both locally and internationally. Gas Liquids Engineering has undertaken over 3000 projects of varying size and scope since our inception in 1987. Our Canadian engineering experience spans over 500 clients ranging from small “one well” companies to large multinational oil companies, in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. This project map indicates current and completed projects in Canada. The pin sizes have been indicated in logarithmic scale with the hours spent on the project, and in some cases an entire field development may be depicted with only one pin.
