All classes are vegetable-centric, designed around the seasons. STEPHANIE ASHTON, DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION AND THE EDIBLE I came to Greensboro from my home state of Ohio by way of UNC – Chapel Hill where I received my Masters of Public Administration. I transitioned from working in economic development in the areas of business retention and entrepreneurship to my current role as the Director of The Edible Schoolyard and Education at GCM. Cleaning Procedures: Due to recent news surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Greensboro Children’s Museum is closely monitoring announcements by officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is enhancing our current cleaning procedures by increasing the frequency in which we clean and sanitize our exhibits, movable props and toys throughout the LITTLE EXPLORER KITS Each month, Greensboro Children’s Museum’s education team will release a new kit themed around a new topic. EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS (AGES 0-5) early childhood programs (ages 0-5) Research shows the first 2,000 days from the time a baby is born to when a child begins kindergarten is when 85-90% of critical brain development occurs. Due to the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases and resulting restrictions, the Greensboro Children’s Museum today announced that it will suspend public operations effective December 11, 2020. KIDS PROGRAMS (AGES 6-11) Through play, children learn! At the Greensboro Children’s Museum, we offer a myriad of interactive learning experiences for children of all ages, which contribute to their growth and development. Our kids programs focus on a variety of topics for ages 6-11 with an emphasis on developing the “whole” child. All programs listed below areBIRTHDAY PARTIES
Special Price Friday Nights: $130, plus NC Sales Tax. We furnish red table cloths in this room. GCM admission for the birthday child, their siblings and 15 guests. Additional children may be invited for $5 each. Up to 30 adults are included. Additional adults may be invited for $5 each. A guest list is expected on the day of the party. SUMMER EXPLORER KITS You can still enjoy one of the Greensboro Children’s Museum’s pre-assembled summer explorer kits with all the materials and instructions you need for a week of activities that are fun, educational, and hands-on. Cleaning Procedures: Due to recent news surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Greensboro Children’s Museum is closely monitoring announcements by officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is enhancing our current cleaning procedures by increasing the frequency in which we clean and sanitize our exhibits, movable props and toys throughout the EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS (AGES 0-5) early childhood programs (ages 0-5) Research shows the first 2,000 days from the time a baby is born to when a child begins kindergarten is when 85-90% of critical brain development occurs.
