HELP! CHANGED REAR PADS NOW BOTH CALIPERS SEEM TO BE I just changed the rear brake pads on my 2002 Silverado. I put the new pads on and new hardware (sliders and clip in caliper) & greased them, put everything together and pushed the brake pedal to make sure is all okay and both calipers seem to refuse to release the pads as theyshould.

A new spark plug has been released for use in the above vehicles. The new spark plug has an Iridium tip instead of the current Platinum tip. Due to the different tip design, the gap of the spark plug has also changed. The new spark plug, ACDelco Part Number 41-110, is gapped to 1.01mm (0.040 inches) when the spark plug is made. After it warms up and at a stop in drive the pressure will drop to approx 5 PSI and will even dip to 1 or 2 PSI. Oil being used is 10W40. Mileage is approx 140 000. Idle is a little rough but not toobad.

Second battery only increases power when starting and helps add capacity to running stuff when the truck is off, for when the truck is on the alternator does all the work. 2. you might want to look at a bigger than factory spec alternator if you are running so much stuff.SPARK PLUG GAP?

NOT HOLDING FUEL PRESSURE. BAD INJECTORS, FPR OR PUMP If yes, bad fpr, injector leaky and fuel pump check valve could be culprit. P1406 is for the EGR valve. Different issue from fuel pressure drop. EGR or passages could be blocked by carbon buildup. Intake leak, injector and fpr leak can cause P0300 multiple misfire though. Idle will be unstable and rough. WHINE/WHISTLING FROM ENGINE COMPARTMENT DRIVING ME NUTS The whine manifests as the engine begins to rev up and falls away (after 0.5 to 1 seconds) as it reaches into the rpm range I just specified. Put your plugs in "finger tight", then tighten according to gasket/seat type. For tapered seats (no gasket) tighten them 1/8 turn. For gasketed, tighten them one half turn. Been doing it this way for years. PLASTIC WING NUT STRIPPED?? FASTENER HOLDING RESONATOR TO Ok forgive my ignorance on this but I figured I'd ask some experts before tackling this and doing the wrong thing. On my 96 yukon, the deep wingnut that holds my resonator to the throttle body is stripped or to be more specific the plastic piece turns without backing out the threaded rod/ fastener.5.3 TO 6.0 SWAP

REAR END AXLE PLAY?

I don't know if there is a spec on these for axle end play, but some in/out movement (1/4 inch or so) is normal for a semi floating axle like the GM 10 bolt. The oil pressure guage needle bounces around while the truck is ideling but stops once I get going and stays steady at around 60 psi until I stop and idel again. Coolant temp sensor, throttle position, idle control, oxygen sensors, all new heater hoses, power steering hoses, engine oil cooling lines, and transmissioncooling

HIGH MILEAGE TRANSMISSION FLUID- TO CHANGE OR NOT TO 234 Posts. #5 · Nov 28, 2010. Changed mine this past summer with 109K miles on the truck. The gasket on the pan was like new, so I didn't replace it, just added some high temp silicone to it. I just dropped the pan and replaced the 5 quarts, filter and threw in a bottle of Lucas Oil Transmission Fix. 3.08 VS 3.42 GEAR RATIO 1,447 Posts. #2 · Mar 5, 2014. yeah I dont think a truck has any business having 3.08's in it..In my opinion.. the 3.42 gearing is the highest the gears should go. Ive got 3.42's and with the 35" tires I have its a dog Got 4.56 gears sitting in the box waiting to be installed.. Hopefully soon. INFAMOUS 4WD PROBLEM From my research, my next step is to check the TCCM (transfer case control module). To do this, I need remove the TREC fuse under the hood for 30 secs to see if the TCCM will boot during key up. If not, it needs to be replaced then reprogrammed by the dealer.
