All it takes is the “perfect storm”. The right set of circumstances mixed perfectly with the right length of time, and most anyone will start to weaken, to question what they think they absolutely know deep down intheir hearts.
30 YEARS LATER- WHAT I LEARNED THAT WAS MORE IMPORTANT I relate to so much in your post. We reached our 30th anniversary this year, too, and we’ve had our brutal times as well. Over the years I realized that our relationship was a prime target for forces of evil; if we could be undone there was so much else that would also be undone & destroyed, so I battled a lot in prayer for God’s protection andhelp.
WHERE ARE WE LEADING OUR CHILDREN? OUR GREATEST God’s purpose teaches us AND our children that we are not the most important consideration. Selfishness, entitlement, and narcissism are fought against as we consider the needs of others more than ourselves. If we spend 95% of our time only taking care of us and ours, then that teaches our children to be self-absorbed. HOW WE CAN FORGIVE A REPEAT "OFFENDER" Forgive them AGAIN?! You can’t be serious! This post is a follow-up to my 3 part series ( Post 1 , Post 2 , Post 3 ) on the unmerciful servant in Matthew 18:21-35. The series was entitled, “3 Ways We Bring About Our Own Misery” and it examined the decision of WHAT I LEARNED FROM UNANSWERED PRAYERS I finallly realized that He had answered my prayers, It was just me, that I didn’t hang on to them by thanking Him by faith before I sawit.
3 WAYS TO STAND FIRM AGAINST THE LIES OF THE ENEMY Whispers of accusations or condemnation swirl in our minds from our own self-talk or from others. PROCESSING THE DISCOURAGING WORDS OF OTHERS THAT "MEAN It says in Ephesians 6:11-12 that we are to stand against the devil’s schemes and that our battle is not with flesh and blood. This explains how Jesus processed Peter’s words. He determined that the “man’s” words were really from His enemy, the devil. This is not to say that Peter was the devil himself, but that he was beingused for
