WHAT TO EAT FOR IBS WHEN YOU CAN'T EAT ANYTHING By Heather Van Vorous, 1/6/20 We've all been there. There are some days when it seems like everything you eat triggers an IBS attack. This is not your imagination; when your IBS is raging, your gastrocolic reflex can be so sensitive that simply drinking water can IBS (IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME) SIDE DISHES, SALADS, SOUPS Old-fashioned bread stuffing with dried apricots and currants. Raisin bread rosemary stuffing. Tuscan tomato bread salad. Tangy Thai salad with fresh herbs. Summer chicken, new potato, and green bean salad. Roasted sweet potato cider salad. Italian tuna, lemon, and basil pasta salad. Basic vegetable stock. HEAT THERAPY FOR IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME Heat Therapy Direct heat is a tremendously effective muscle relaxant, and can be wonderfully beneficial for most IBS symptoms. When your gastrocolic reflex has triggered colon spasms, and pain, diarrhea, or constipation have resulted, direct, intense lower abdominal heat can relax the colon and offer quick relief.
