But near the moving element of the picture it is bobbing, having the effect of reducing the vertical resolution of the picture. But not the horizontal. Comparison: Blu-ray vs PAL DVD Here are some comparisons between the PAL DVD and the Blu-ray version of this movie. At the top of each is the full frame (suitably shrunk down) used in the comparison, with a 250 pixel wide detail from the frame underneath.HI FI WRITER

The guts of this projector are three LCD panels, offering a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels in 16:9 format. This, you will note, is the same resolution offered by some very high end projectors indeed, including 24 BIT SOUND VS 16 BIT SOUND AND DTS-HD MASTER AUDIO Both versions get DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 channel sound. But the US version gets 24 bits and 48kHz, whereas we get 16 bits and 48kHz. The US version has an average bitrate of 3962kbps. The Australian version averages 2032kbps. Recently a climate change skeptic outraged all right thinking people by suggesting that the Australian Government's climate change advisor was making fascist suggestions. Worse, the skeptic had in a public talk pictured Ross Garnaut next to SHARPNESS? NO. DISTORTION? YES. As you can see, all those lines and text are now smooth and full, and free of those halos. The picture from the Blu-ray test disc is a full 1,920 by 1,080 pixels. It needs no sharpening. All that the alleged sharpening process does is distort it.
