Zgodba in filozofija Hiše Franko sta tesno povezani s tradicijami in okoljem Posočja. Okolje, ki je včasih trdo in težko, a osupljivo lepo. Restavracija, umeščena ob vznožje očakov in visokogorskih pašnikov ter le streljaj od smaragdne Soče, svojo kuhinjo gradi na najboljšem, kar ponuja narava v danih letnih časih. Prehrana v Posočju je vedno močno temeljila na mlečnih in mesnih izdelkih, zato pričakujte na našem meniju veliko sira in vseh stranskih produktov njegove proizvodnje. Restavracija je tesno povezana s skupnostmi nabiralcev, gobarjev, pastirjev, sirarjev, lovcev in ribičev. Umeščeni smo v območje, ki je bogato s postrvmi, divjačino, gozdnim sadjem in divjimi rastlinami, ki jih vsakodnevno vključujemov naše krožnike.
Hiša Franko je novinka na seznamu 50 najboljših restavracij sveta (50 Best), a njena zapuščina je stara že več kot pol stoletja, ko je Valterjev oče Franko v gostilni še stregel svoj znameniti Frankovrostbif.
In ne pozabimo, da je v tej isti hiši med prvo svetovno vojno Ernest Hemingway morda celo spisal svoj roman Zbogom, orožje. Ali je to res ali ne, se ne ve, miti in legende v naših krajih živijo svoježivljenje.
